Triumph / Royal Enfield 'Trifield' 500 trials - Gearbox sprocket seal & mainshaft top gear checked.

As it turned out, the gearbox sprocket oil seal and the mainshaft top gear, or sleeve gear were both in good condition, but the only way to know for sure was to remove the gearbox sprocket and the sleeve gear itself, and take a look.

It all brings night. Hopefully the various end floats will be within acceptable limits.

Paul, have you ever tried speedy sleeves, ? The one's you use to eliminate oil seal wear ridges, can save a lot of replacement sprockets/ shafts etc etc they work well, they are only a few thou thick. They are excellent. ( Providing you can find the right size)
