Why should the Speed triple not be suitable for the race track? A German motorcycle magazine has both ridden by a racer on the track of Hockenheim and the Speed Triple was clearly faster.

Why did you do an SC project for the KTM but a stock exhaust for the Triumph. Bit of an unfair sound comparison. The KTM also does not come with cruise control, launch control or a quickshifter for the price you stated in the video

Super duke will always be a faster street bike! Because of the low rpm torque. You should do a comparison of power in every gear en every rpm. On the street you are never in the right perfect rev range for power. That's why low rpm power and torque wins on the street. Track is diffrent.

Had 4 sdr's all had issues with problems over an over again. Cracking fun bike though. Now have the speed triple rs, absolutely love the bike, handles so so good, engine not far behind the ktm in the fun specs.

We have had 4 - the first 2 ones for 7 years and have 2 now for third season. No great problems.

Throw the Tuono in that mix and honestly you can't go wrong with any of these bikes. They all have more than enough power thats useable on the street. Looks are subjective. Go with what feels best for you and maybe ever dealer network.

Power to Weight is misleading, that torque difference is substantial.

KTM EVO. More character. Better handling. More torque. Smoother at 30mph. And KTM service support is cheaper, friendlier and they stock parts more readily than Triumph. KTM have their act together now. I have had a 2004 triumph speed tripple. A 2006 955i Daytona and a modern Daytona moto2 limited edition. Getting parts has always been a pain with Triumph. I traded in the beautiful little 765 for the KTM EVO. No regrets. The EVO is so much more fun to ride. End of Trumpets in my life.
