Ive had this bike for 8 years. Its my first bike. Before buying the bike i did a lot of research. KZbin told me this isnt a good first bike. My driving instructors all said it wasnt a good first bike. 8 years later, id say everyone was wrong. This a is great first bike.

@@EskiLdn completely agree mate, I have loved it since I got it. Keep toying with the idea of so. Thing faster but just don't think I need it to be honest.

American here. I have a 1st generation Street Triple R from 2008 in Roulette Green. I'm head over heels for it. It's my 5th motorcycle that I've owned and easily my favorite. Triumph makes some amazing motorcycles.

Hi American 👋😂 they are a lovely bike and I think they are ageing well as the styling hasn't changed too much over the years 👌👌

I’ve got one of these and it’s the perfect all rounder. It goes fast when I want it to and it mixes it up in traffic on my daily commute every day very nicely, no rider modes, minimal rider aids (abs) just the way I like it! It has a gear indicator and fuel gauge which quite a few bikes don’t. Love it 👍🏻

@@adfro76 exactly my thoughts mate, I love the thing and also think it's ageing well as the new ones don't look too different 👍

I also have a Street Triple as a first bike, but mine is the 2022 765 RS, own it for 2 years now. Awesome motorcycle, demands a lot of respect and self-discipline from new riders as they are so light, nimble and powerful, one can put himself in a dangerous situation pretty easy. The rider modes and aids help a lot with safety and also building up confidence, but by no means they substitute skill, experience and good judgment. I´ve been building up my skills by riding almost every day, watching videos and especially doing low-speed drills in parking lots, the bike is awesome for that. I recommend dedicating some practice biting that monstrous front brake, it always amazes me when doing some emergency braking drills, it stops so hard. Not sure if it´s the case in the 675 gen, but in the 765s I recommend changing the stock Pirelli Supercorsa SPs for something more street and all-weather friendly (like the Rosso 4, Road 5/6, M9 RR, etc).

Well said my friend, I think they are a great bike to learn on but also have the power and fun element of them for experienced riders. I keep thinking that I could do with a bit more power now and again but then I realise that actually no I don't I'm just being silly and unless I'm on a track then this is just fine 😂

After passing my test and having dirt bikes as a kid and a 125 for a few years, i just brought myself a 2012 675 street triple, i can't wait to get it next week

@DITLO58 thanks bud, I always hear people say different things when it comes to this bike. Some people say it's too fast, and some say it's perfect. A friend of mine got one after having only 1 year of experience on a 125, and he got on with it just fine. My dad always said the bike only goes as fast as you want it to. It's really down to how sensible you are, really.
@DITLO58
@DITLO58 28 күн бұрын
@@BaffaCake14 exactly that, take your time to get used to it and you will be fine. You can get into trouble with a 125 if you ride stupid 👍

@DITLO58 yeah I agree, all bikes are dangerous at the end of the day. It mostly comes down to being sensible and knowing a time and a place to open it up and have fun, if your near cambridshire/heartfordshire area in the summer would be good to see you at a meet mate

I really want this bike as I have looked at hundreds of reviews and they all tell me is really reliable and nothing breaks on it unless you rag it. I travel 33 miles a day for work and the engine sounds amazing and I love the handle bars. The lexomoto is just out of my budget and this is my first bike after my test. Clutch is smooth and lovely and they all say it's an easy bike to ride and not to heavy. My grandad used to work with triumph fixing them and he can help me with anything if something goes wrong.

I can definitely vouch for all of these points. I have had the bike for a couple of years now an have loved every ride. I really think it is an allrounder bike. easy commuter, can wheelie if you want it too and would be perfect for the track if you ever decided. the only thing I have had go wrong is because the battery got too low and had trouble starting for a while, but that was it. If you are looking at getting one i would say GO FOR IT 😁

I have had my street triple R 3 months and i would honestly say its the best all round bike i have ever ridden. It can literally do everything really well. Engine sound is sensational, brakes/suspension are top notch, low down torque is superb, build quality is first class and its so flickable. I have a gsxr 750 also and the triumph is the one i find myself getting on the majority of the time. Buy one you will not regret it

As a 1st bike I think it may be a bit too quick for many. Have a year or 2 on an SV or an ER, then step up to the power. 100+bhp and a novice is not a good combination.

A good beginners bike is something that will forgive and make you learn to drive with the limitations of the bike and that isn't it. Drive the bike you want, who am I to judge, but there are fact about what a good beginners bike is and the Street doesn't fit the description

It's funny reading your comment as I remember insurance costing stupid amounts like this a few years ago. I'm 30 now and pay about £400, I think around 25 things start getting a lot cheaper. Not the best help 🤣 but I just use the normal compare sites 👍

Only way to learn is by riding larger motorcycles in my opinion plus as you know there are thousands of riders old and experienced with less skill on the roads and ride more recklessly than newer riders.
