any one having problems insuring these things? im 21 got 2 years no claims clean license and they want 2k a year to insure it...

It's funny reading your comment as I remember insurance costing stupid amounts like this a few years ago. I'm 30 now and pay about £400, I think around 25 things start getting a lot cheaper. Not the best help 🤣 but I just use the normal compare sites 👍

For quick reference, here are all the types of roads and paths in the UK: Footpaths - Walking only Cycle paths - Cycling only (though most cycle paths are "shared use", which means walking is also allowed) Bridleways - Walking, cycling, and horse riding Restricted byways - Walking, cycling, and horse riding Byways - All types of traffic Normal Roads - All types of traffic (Though walkers must stick to the pavement if there is one) Motorways - Motor vehicles only

@DITLO58 thanks bud, I always hear people say different things when it comes to this bike. Some people say it's too fast, and some say it's perfect. A friend of mine got one after having only 1 year of experience on a 125, and he got on with it just fine. My dad always said the bike only goes as fast as you want it to. It's really down to how sensible you are, really.

Love your videos. Im about 20 mins from most of the lanes you ride. The byway at bredhurst is for permit holder i thought. Also the last clip was that the one linking ham lane to lidsing road, if so thats now blocked by fly tip/farmer Lastly, what happened to the garage build?
@DITLO582 ай бұрын
Thank you 😁 yes bredhurst has also just had all the stone down and met a bloke in a land rover doing maintenance the whole way along so pretty easy lane really. The ham end of the lane allways has rubbish at the end lately and even a burt out car not long ago 👎 I'm hoping to do an up date on the garage in the next couple of weeks mate. Being honest, juggling work, my son/family and riding it's hard to find the time to get to it all. I have been doing bits in the evenings but filming makes things twice as long. Anyway I'll get an update in soon 👍👍

I came to the comments section to say exactly this. there's a hell of a lot more trails in the countryside for walkers, yet people still insist on walking the few green lanes we have left, and moan people are riding/driving them. In fairness though, I'd say 90% of people I've passed or chatted with understand bikes/4x4s on green lanes and are fine, I've only encountered a very small percentage of people against it, giving all walkers a bad name
@cccenturion44802 ай бұрын
As a 1st bike I think it may be a bit too quick for many. Have a year or 2 on an SV or an ER, then step up to the power. 100+bhp and a novice is not a good combination.

🤔 Unfortunately for every one rider that might adhere to the rules there are a 1000 others that couldn’t give a …k about the rules be it on legal dirt bikes or often stolen ones, and then of course the plague of electric bikes that add to that … these country lanes have walkers, runners , horses, and cyclists on, so to negotiate 2-3 dirt bikes hacking down the lanes @ 40-50mph it’s potential carnage.. unfortunately time has just caught up with that particular pastime.. from environmental issues to less available land due to vast building/housing projects & more areas of the countryside with Cycleways or public footpaths .. to provide areas of perceived safety for families away from the motorcycles … if you want the experience to green lane your dirt bike plan your trips across Europe where there is an abundance of opportunity, the UK just can’t sustain it pal.
@DITLO582 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment mate and I completely ageee, one bad interaction can ruin it for everyone (on both sides). One bad rider or one bad tempered walker. I would love to do a europe trip one day. Hopfully by posting these videos I could one day get to do it for the channel 👍👍
