For my Triple RS, I've cut and bent a small piece of aluminum flashing into a little oil chute, that gets wedged just under the filter and over the header. The oil in the filter drains straight into the bucket👍. Keep doing what you do 👍‼

Triumph recommend adding the new oil before the new filter to prevent locking

The TuneECU is sorted now, I just used it to reset the service light on my 2022 Street Triple RS.

@@EvolvingMale Yeah, on my Brutale, it's just a matter of pressing a few dash buttons in the right order to reset the service.

Which version of tuneecu do you have, a cable that connects to a laptop or Bluetooth, trying to figure that out for my 22 765r but Bluetooth won’t work with an iPhone

I've got a good-fitting oil filter "socket" for those filters, 3/8" drive. Stamped steel, fits the OEM filters perfect. I also use the Castrol Power 1. Looked it up, it replaces the Power RS I used to get.

Yeah, I had to look the oil up in the Autozone. I was super confused because they changed it. That's the wrench I need to find.

@@EvolvingMale I went straight to Castrol's website to get the info. Even there it's wasn't clear, so I printed out the specs on both and compared. The document dates showed the Power 1 was newer, only one slight difference but it had to do with something that shouldn't matter.

On mine, that crankcase oil plug is a hex socket, I think 5mm. I always replace the crush washer.

Just put the current date on it. The date that was stock on the bike was like 30 years in the future, for some reason. So it matches the date with the app and sees that something is wrong. As soon as I changed it, bam! It worked.

Regarding tune ecu, did you have to pay the $25 fee? Did you get your bike registered? If so how do you get it registered?

When you try to do something that requires registration (some things are available without) it will prompt you with options to buy 1 or more Vin registrations.

I’m not sure where you live but here in the US it’s legal to do all work on your motorcycle, regardless of what the manufacturer may state.

It was some crazy date like 50 years in the future. So my bike is from the future apparently

It solved it for me. I do it every time I change the oil. My 2020 is at almost 18k miles and about due for another service.

@ I have it on my android. I only have iPhone because of work. Hate it. You have to download tune ecu directly from their website. You’ll have to enable that in settings on your phone.

It works pretty good. The license is about $18 per vehicle and the stuff to get it working is about $50 or less

You only reset the miles. How about the time? Because the maintenance light goes on if you pass x miles or 1 year and I only saw you resetting miles. Not the time
