I own a 2009 triple and let me say this. I've had othera and this is the best by far hands down! Others are lacking and overshooting in some areas. This is an all around fantastic bike. Great power superb handling just an amazing machine. Its my R GSXR killer. Warning to those riding other bikes don't underestimate this ride it is a beast it will eat your lunch and throw it back up in your face.

Correction: The normal version of the Street Triple has also got 4 piston brakes. But they are no radial break calipers, like the Street Triple R version.

Do you have a street triple? I do, I also live in cyprus where I can assure you it gets very hot here and at those temperatures it is irrelevant what bike you are on! Of course the street fighter style is not designed for touring on, its not a goldwing! As the tank range is about 150km you have to rest then anyway. Why is it not good for very small routes?

@elementlead1 I've been asking just today to buy the new 2010 Street Triple R, and they show me a back support (it looked quite discreet, even if I didn't saw the arms that are supposed to keep it in place, so maybe here is the surprise) for a hard case, easily removable from it. Also different case sizes available. SO if stll interested, just ask, maybe it's a new accesoire, (I didn't saw it on the web site)

@nEEdLzZz The Street Triple has always has taken a bit of the "roadster" look from bikes that we would call vintage these days. I actually prefer the round headlights on a bike like this without a windscreen (not sure if can call it a naked bike). The new 2012 model looks like they've changed the lights to look more angular like the Japanese brands -- I don't like them :(. I'm going to have to buy an older Street Triple R when I decide to buy one.

its such a nice bike! but the front lights just look fucking hideous! like if the budget was shortened and designers couldn't finish their work...but the rest looks so sweet!

sry , not ankle ... angle* my english suck.. It has the smallest steering angle of all and if it happens to ride in town with 45 C and the ventilator on , u gonna jump off the seat... Anyway .. This bike isnt good for very small routes , neither for very long ones...(more than 200klm without a rest)
