That was super funny! But also very sad -- because it's true. Trump should've been impeached (and removed) within 6 months of his inauguration for colluding with Russia in the election. At that time, many in the GOP congress still OPENLY admitted their dislike of Trump and were still being honest about his complete incompetence. When Jr. openly admitted to (one of the instances of) collusion and even produced the "receipts" (e-mail exchanges re said collusion) Written (undeniable) evidence + a confession usually work well for prosecutors. At that time, Trump's overall approval rating was 36% -- the lowest approval rating at the 6-month mark of any president in 70 years! More importantly, though, Graham, Cruz, Corker and Flake, (among others) had not yet removed their balls & handed them to Trump. Collins and Murkowski, (among others) still seemed honorable and committed to Country over party, come what may. Corrupt Trump sycophant Barr wasn't the Attorney General. Kavanaugh wasn't on the Supreme Court ... I believe he would have been convicted and kicked to the curb like he should've been. All the damage he has done to our country (& those of our closest allies) would have been avoided. Imagine.

No, Republicans complained, because it took the Dems 3 days to say, what they could have said in 30 minutes. They just keep repeating their same rhetoric over and over. "The facts are undisputed" (actually they were VERY undisputed) and "The President isn't above the law" (Neither are the house Democrats.)
@Heimdal0014 жыл бұрын
@@keithhakanson6520 I agree! But when you're talking to slow people or liars, you need to take it really slowly, because excess time gives their brains time to understand... or can encourage them to crack to their conscience. The big line in the sand, that the GOP effectively hides behind against the Dems' arguments, is that 'Trump didn't mean what he said'. Is anybody stupid enough to believe that? Should it even matter what he means, if he cannot control his mouth when he ought to? Is POTUS a kindergarten position now? Of course, there's a really high bar for impeachment, and efforts to remove a political opponent is definitely not big enough to qualify for impeachment from an oligarchy. If someone was previously impeached for something less relevant to the job, like getting a blowjob in the office, I could see that lowering the bar dramatically... But that's never happened.

From what I have heard just about everyone has decided it is best not to take any further action with Triumph and his team beyond the bare minimum that is needed to contain any potential situation where they immediately are - and that comes from both lawyers and PR specialists. If something should escalate to an altercation or anything that results in charges / legal action, it would look comical for the party opposing Triumph ("Geez, you can't handle a puppet?" "You are wasting the courts/police time" "This would be a PR field day for Triumph & Co." "Where's your sense of humour you idiots!" etc). Sure, if Triumph and Co. were to do something silly that seriously jeopardised public safety then that could change things, but they are smarter than that, they know the limits, those limits are greater than what the general public can get away with...so Go Triumph! :D
