The late model gearbox shifter rod detent holders are plugs instead of the earlier screws. Getting the plugs out without mangling them is a big challenge. Unfortunately, I have not found anyone who sells replacements for those specifically sized plugs, and I have scrutinized the Dorman catalogs searching for them. However, it is not that hard to tap the holes to accept the old style, superior, screw type retainers. Keep the good content coming.

yes, mine are screws holding the springs and balls in. it was nice and easy. early CD trans from 1970
