Hi Henry, great to see as always. The gearbox as a whole looked great, I wouldn't strip it down either, not that I could refurb it anyway. Great to see the oil come out clean. Look forward to more as the car progresses.

Yeah doesn’t look like that gearbox ever went far! I think engine mounts wearing unevenly is normal due to one suffering more from the torque of the engine always spinning in the same direction.

I'd understand the corrosion would more likely happen on the near side, due to puddles from the gutters over long periods of time. Then again nothing surprises me with positions of rot found on 7's.

@@ChrisFEJackson Ah I was talking about the actual rubber engine mount bits, could be the cause of Henry’s original ones being differently worn. Or not, I’m not sure how universal a problem it is!
