I got 5 wrong, but I'm sure the red shouldered hawk won't mind too much. Great Quiz & they are a very beautiful hawk to look at, I know some others are more beautiful. Thank You So Much BHB

I live by a small lake and we have a pair of nesting red shoulder hawks and a pair of osprey -I watched the red shoulder fly across the lake and switch positions w osprey in tree close to me. Was sooo cool! They seem to have respectfully spaced their nests from each other too. I have several videos of the osprey diving from the tree in the lake and coming out w good size bass! I love the way they wobble their head back and forth before they take a dive-I guess checking their depth perception. Also saw the red shoulder grab snake and take off back to a branch near their nest. I am big bird nerd in northwest florida-and love watching them -thanks for the quiz -got most of them correct-! 😊. Thank you -love the channel-❤ keep them coming!

Had a possible Red Shoulder Hawk hang out staring at my chickens one day. FB couldn't decide if it was a Red Tail or Red Shoulder Hawk. It spent hours perching on a tree branch on the other side of the fence just watching my chickens before finally flying away.

@builtontherockhomestead9390, A young Red-Shouldered Hawk, often referred to as a "brancher," is at a critical stage where it's just beginning to leave the nest and explore its surroundings. This period can indeed be quite perilous, especially in urban environments where natural hazards are replaced by man-made ones. These young hawks may struggle with obstacles like buildings, vehicles, and power lines as they learn to fly and navigate their territory. Thank you for your insightful observation!
