I totally agree, festival shows tend to be fucking dismal for mix quality. Ideally there’d be a 3-way split and an outside broadcast console to mix specifically for the stream. They probably sounded rad in-person, but that’s because the warmth of the PA can fill it out.

I saw them at Ozzfest in 2004 I think it was, they sounded great. Really depends on if they're using back line gear, who the sound guy is, and other factors.

His screams though kinda makes me worried. I know that it's a new technique but it gave me an impression that it could strain his throat just like his original screams. I don't remember his new screaming technique being as loud as his original screams back when he just learned it in 2015 a year after he blew his voice

I remember that 2005 show well, my mate dragged me to the main stage because of this band everyone was hyping, I didn’t want to go because frankly i had a hangover and felt on the verge of death. Totally worth it, the columns of dust rising from the circle pits were awesome to see!

@@rittis013 imo the best live vocal performance I've seen on the 'Tube from Matt was Wacken '13. However just cos it sounded good doesn't mean it was good technically and wasn't f*cking his voice up. I'd actually like him to ditch screaming altogether in live shows to focus on his cleans but I can't see that happening with the set lists they play

The good old Roadrage releases. I owned the DVDs and further back the VHS too. They did some awesome package shows off the back of these releases too. In fact, the first time I saw Trivium was back in 2005, on a Roadrage tour, with Still Remains and 3 Inches of Blood. Shame Roadrunner don't do those tours any more. :(

Goddamn. Almost everything in this show is perfect. Matt sounds almost as great as he was before, Corey's screams are insane, Paolo's clean singing/blending in with matt's voice is amazing, and alex is such a beast. I wish the crowd would participate more though.
