Believe Matt was 19 on this record, their 2nd album. An a really good album imo.

From what I recall the label actually told the band how they should dress on stage and for promos to target the younger audience. After that album Trivium disagreed and decided to do a 180 and they wrote what some people call the best Metallica album not written by Metallica and dressed as a thrash metal band. For every album after they would do major shifts in styles (musically) and only recently refined their sound and stuck with it for a few albums in a row drawing from all their past elements. I highly recommend the song The Sin and the Sentence or In the Court of the Dragon to hear how far theyve evolved and the impact of their monster drummer

To me, Trivium is just about the perfect mix of heavy, melodic, and technical for a "metal" band. I'd love to see you guys react to something off any of their last 3 albums (I'd suggest "The Sin and the Sentence" or "Like a Sword Over Damocles(Live)") to see their evolution as musicians and to hear your opinion on their current drummer (who is insanely good).

The lyrics are clearly timeless.

I'm a lifetime Trivium fan and this is my first time on the channel. Middle guy such a good synopsis and intro for the band and all the baggage that comes with them because of the weird media angle. Good stuff dude Love the reaction as well

Officially my favorite channel but I got to have more Trivium. I love the journey you guys are going on and I'm going to catch up quickly on where y'all have been. Cheers

Thanks for the nice comment. We tend to get mostly people complaining that we don't know anything about music and that we should literally love every song lol. We will come back to trivium at some point, we are currently looking at next set of videos we will be reviewing, we tend to pick 4 mainstream bands and 4 from the grass roots underground scene each time we meet up to film, which is every two weeks. We are trying to get matt heafy on the channel for an interview somepoint in the future.

I liked them both but then trivium did a song about Matthew Shepherd and that was what made me like them over Bullet

Matt Tuck comes from money? Well shit, I say good for him. BFMV are no slouches, they are talented as hell. I'm more into Trivium personally, I just can't get enough of Matt Heafy's riffs.

I'm almost positive with Trivium was the Rich Dad band not bullet. I could be wrong but I'm almost positive I'm right

Matt Heafy's dad was a Seargent in the marines. Not sure if they were exactly well off.
