It's amazing to think that Matt wrote, played both the guitar parts including solos and screamed in such a way on this album when he was only 16

How'd you rediscover this song? Was the gym playing this song? Did you bust out some old CDs while lifting dumbbells at home? Came across an old gym playlist?

I'm glad you included lyrics. I always thought the pre-chorus contained the phrase "live a lot" and that always bothered me and now I see that it doesn't and it makes listening to this one so much better.

awesome song. this is actually played in standard tuning.
@TheJimmyp4278 жыл бұрын
i hate playing down tuned. And its completely unnecessary. a lot of lamb of gods heaviest riffs are just drop d
@amyleetasticobsesseddiehar19948 жыл бұрын
that's cool. i will only down tune the 6th string to a D. It's a pain in the ass to drop all the strings to Drop Db, Drop C or lower. then it begins to sound like shit. how the fuck does slipknot or other bands like to play in that?
@TheJimmyp4278 жыл бұрын
+SONIC it helps to have thicker gauged strings. slipknot might just buy a set for 7 a string guitar and use the B as the E and so on
@amyleetasticobsesseddiehar19948 жыл бұрын
Cool. I never knew that and if I were to do that, I would buy another guitar just for the purpose of playing in low tuning like Drop Db all the way down to Drop G. Some bands like Staind have songs in Drop G. That's crazy. Also are you saying that slipknot uses a 7 string guitar? That's cool. I've only owned 6 string guitars. I know someone from high school though that has a 12 string guitar.
@TheJimmyp4278 жыл бұрын
+SONIC i dont think they use 7 string guitars. it would just make sense to use a set of strings for a 7 string if your dropping down as far as g.
@jairolopez97348 жыл бұрын
the riff at 2:27 , think that's cool? do yourself and look up Guilty Gear X - Write in Pain, it's a song from a video game, just listen and wait for it.. you'll recognize the thievery once you hear it

George Baev Yeahh agreed. People will argue til they're blue in the face over this - but it doesn't reallllyyy matter. I'd say BFMV were possibly influenced by Trivium, but they may well not have been - BFMV might've formed earlier, written and gigged earlier for all we know - like Guns N Roses, they toured and gigged for years before releasing anything

Love to see you write better music at the age of 15.
@Revener6664 жыл бұрын
@@TheRoughneck80 had 2 bandmembers at the age of 14 when we started our band 1997 one of them was very good at writing music. Me I was just the singer and the only instrument I could play was the organ. :) Either way, remove the clean sung parts and this song is very good. When it comes to mixing clean+scream vocals Dark Tranquility does it best. Change of style to sound like US bands is also why In Flames turned to shit.
