Whatever Trivium's do, they"ll never lose the fans. Because fans are there to support the band and spread the world about them. In other words, who leaves them aren't the fans and the way to exit is widely open. For me, supporting the band you love is would be the greatest feeling for them and make them continue making music.

I don't really like anything before ascendancy, I don't like in waves as much as this and haven't got to listen to vengeance falls properly still. You don't have to like everything and listen to everything to be a true fan you morons. It's being honest, if someone doesn't like something they're entitle to say so but shouldn't be disregarded as a real fan because of that.

I really like the new album. Yes, it's different from their other records, but I don't want to listen to the same thing all the time. I love being able to hear a track and tell musically from which album it originated. It's been a real pleasure watching metal evolve from the late seventies when I was 10 years old to the present day. I'm the dad in the car next to you blasting Trivium, The Sword, AIC, Slipknot, Parkway Drive, and KSE in the car while the homeschooled four and seven year old kids thrash around like they're at a concert. Metal has soul, feeling, meaning. It hurts, replenishes, comforts, encourages, reminds. It heightens our sense and takes us to place we wish we were, while all at once being able to transport us away from somewhere we'd prefer not to be. Metal is a magical music. That's why I have been a metal fan my whole life, and will be long after I hit 50 in three years. Funny story. I took a client out for lunch a couple of weeks back. He's a Mayor in a small town close to where I live and have my office. We're going out for a nice lunch. I'm in a suit, as is he. We get in the car, I press the shiny little silver button while continuing the conversation with Mr. Mayor. Without realizing that I had forgotten to turn the music down, here comes Trivium blasting Shogun at 33 volume. After a startled look, he burst into laughter. I apologized, he patted me on the shoulder, and we had a good laugh over it. Later that day, we closed the deal. Thanks, Matt and Corey. Great sales tool.

stop crying like "trivium ended with shogun" they're creative and absolutely beyond most of the modern bands. they just keep creating new songs when overrated ones are rotting. new vocals and style is also great I can't understand why you guys don't appreciate what they do
@SWAATSFan4 жыл бұрын
So true. Can't find a Metalcore band like them that improved that much. But tbh I couldn't really stand In Waves and Vengeance Falls, because they didn't have the energy, but this one totally blew me away, and after that they really reached went over the top with Shogun with The Sin and The Sentence, these two are my favorite albums of them
@dspt98034 жыл бұрын
they have returned the heavy metal vibe which was long gone, and gave it a new image with modern style and modern production and Heafy's clean vocal abilities have improved greatly "BUT HE DOESNT SCREAM ANYMORE" so what "THEY HAVE SOLD OUT" It's not always selling out when you change your style a bit. If they have gone pop like "that one band" that would be selling out or if they started sounding like some generic nu metal or radio rock, that, my friend is selling out And thats all about that.

This album really is a vocal showcase for one of the best SINGERS in Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. His singing voice is truly something special. Hopefully we hear a lot more of it on their next album. Having had a few years to sit on this album now, I've become a really big fan of it. It feels like the first time Trivium truly broke free of the Metallica comparisons. This album is for sure their most commercial, but there are so many songs on this album that would have been singles on other albums. The title track, Until the World Goes Cold, Dead and Gone, Blind Leading the Blind, and, of course, this song right here, probably my pick of the litter. It's a long album at 13 songs, and not only do they not repeat themselves, very few of them are what I would consider filler, which is really, really impressive for a sixth studio album taking a more commercial turn.
