Hey Chainsaw .. since you already listened the whole album, what's your overall thoughts for this album ? What The Dead Men Say just came out 3 days ago and got a lot of reviews, some people are liking the album and the others were kinda disappointed so yeah it's 50/50 on that. Few hours ago, i read the album reviews on Metal Storm and apparently they said that this album doesn't near better than The Sin And The Sentence because it lacks something and it's feels shorter just because the album had only 10 songs in it and mostly it's about matt's vocals. I don't know what to say but for me i think this album is good.

abejep honestly everything I’ve been reading is pretty much nothing but positive even seen some album of the year comments personally for me I think this album is perfect sure it’s a little shorter then the last album but all the songs in this record are pretty much better then any song on TSATS and that’s not a negative thing this album is just that good every song is so dense and has so much to them this album is as good as In Justice For All it’s just that good

@@triviummaniac4885 seriously dude, i know people are liking the album and praised it. some people said this is better than Sin, and some people are kinda disappointed. the reviews that I've read has a lot of mix opinions. personally i am liking the album and to me this album is probably one of their best work, from a songwriting perspective, to me they improved a lot and all of them are doing a great work for contributed on this record.

This album was phenomenal imo. There wasn’t one song I disliked at all therefore i can listen to it all the way through without skipping. Each song feels like they belong on this album and they all compliment each other perfectly. Trivium incorporates a lot of new elements but also brings back stuff from old records (such as The Defiant is an obvious tribute to Ascendancy). I loved seeing your reactions to each song and comparing them to my own. Can’t wait for more Trivium in a few years and hopefully you’ll be around to react to it!!

This is the best Trivium album. Hands down. I understand the nostalgia on Shogun and Ascendandy and they both are amazing albums, but this album is better in every way. Better mixing, better production, better guitars sound, better bass sound, better drum sounds, better compositions and all the songs are amazing. Bleed Into Me is the weakest song for myself, but that too has grown. Sickness Unto You, Bending The Arc To Fear and Defiant are all the best songs they have ever done. Scattering The Ashes is the best radio friendly song they have done. This is of course, just my own opinion.

@@JohnnyRaven69 It's a pretty good album, but I like the Sin and the Sentence more, and still Shogun is my top favourite from them. I miss the teched out guitars like there were on the crusade and shogun, don't get me wrong theese riffs are pretty awesome. But sometimes I feel they don't push themselves as much since Alex techs out the drums so much. Still I love this album, but feel it could be a bit better :)

Another fantastic album! Also, Pro Tip: The Bell that you hear is actually called a bell. Most ride cymbals have a bell that have a similar sound. The cymbal Alex uses is a Zildjian A Series called The Mega Bell ride. His kit actually has two of them so he can do double ride action. Thanks for reacting buddy!

This album managed to surpass The Sin and the Sentence for me. Not quite Shogun, but like, the fact of the matter is that Trivium released their best album 8 years into their career. You'd think they'd be over the hill after that, but 17 and now 20 years in they've managed to make consecutive masterpieces. This band could truly become just the absolute most dominant force in the world of metal if they keep going the way they are

I dunno man the fade out makes it seem like it should end that way, but if you listen to the last record, and even I remember with KSE end of heartache album it ended heavier. I think they should have added another track at the end which was heavy. I would say that the album is too short

I absolutely love this song, personally I think they should’ve kept what you dubbed as the “harmonizing part” out of the song and just continued that heavy riff. I absolutely love that slight breakdown and wish it was longer, I think that harmony part was just way too out of place. It takes away from the song imo.
