@@jasonengland84 Trivium had one good drummer before and that was Paul Wandtke. Both Travis and Nick couldn't keep tempo and play their own songs live. Also they tended to crank the tempo too much live which made their music sound ridiculous sometimes. Then there was Mat Madiro... While he was not bad he just wasn't a good fit for the band - he was unable to play more complicated songs and lacked the pure technical skills the band needed. Alex on the other hand is a technical beast and one of the best metal drummers I've heard.

Aww man, when you hit the splashes just before the 3 min mark, it was perfect. I feel like when you use the splashes, they add a very distinct "Bent" sound, they add a great kind of depth to the sound that wasn't there in the original.
