i met Matt october 2018 along with the rest of the band, i can confirm hes exactly like this in person with fans. hes super chill and friendly as are all the band members. I got genuine handshakes and smiles from them all along with from the heart "Thanks for coming out and seeing us". Matt offered to sign our passes even though we didnt ask jokingly adding "Maybe itll be worth something one day" while chuckling. He took the time to address each and every fan that came through, learned there names, what their favorite Trivium song was, and wished them a great time at the show. As i went to leave i turned around and said " Hey Matt, best of luck to you and your wife with the twins" he grabbed my hand again, threw up some devil horns, and said "Thank you so much man, im glad you're part of our family". hes truly the classiest rock star.

@undead7978 жыл бұрын

***** Well that's the first useful response comment that I think I've ever encountered on KZbin in all of my days. If you know any dvds or footage in particular please let me know.
@Grindermetalhead8 жыл бұрын
I would advise against going the route of teaching yourself to sing by any kind of online lessons. I practiced for over a year with the "Zen of Screaming" and "Brett Manning's Singing success" by myself, without supervision and I screwed up my voice. The techniques in those tutorials are spot on but as an amateur you probably will not know what the hell you are doing. You will think that you mastered a technique when you haven't really and you will rush things to get through the boring lessons and onto the actual singing and you'll probably end up messing yourself up the way I did. The only safe way to learn how to sing properly is to hire a competent vocal coach.

I still remember these guys back when they were a local Orlando Band as a trio. I used to see Matt and his dad at local Shows and Remember Matt jamming in a band called Mindscar as well which is funny hes wearing a Mindscar tee lol and its not mentioned he played a short time in that band at a venue called the FBI short for Fair Banks Inn. I chatted with him a few times about music and my old bass player slipped him our demo and he used one our riffs in their demo and ended up on Embers to Inferno lol we got a kick out of it. One of the last shows as a trio was in Daytona Beach at an all day show called Fuel Fest and i worked the show as a stage hand setting up for the bands that day and Matt told me they were looking for guitar players and emailed me the tabs for 3 songs but i never auditioned and a few months later saw them at the then"new" station in orlando with Corey for the 1st time. There old bass player left and they got this kid from a band called Metal Militia who also played at Fuel Fest and sang and played Bass. That kid was Paolo and not too long after they got the European record deal and then there was no turning back.I still have Matts buisness card with the old Trivium logo on it.

I remember seeing Trivium supporting Iron Maiden during their A Matter Of Life And Death tour. It was a great gig and I hope I'll catch them again

Man, I saw Matt when he was ridiculously young and Ascendancy wasn't even out fully, I think just a single on the Ozzfest CD I got every year from going. Must have been 2004 because it had As I Lay Dying as well on there. Dude put on a hell of a show even though no one really knew who he was. It just kicked ass and we had a blast, if he ever sees this, my friend Larry and I spent our mid to late teens obsessed with Trivium

RocketMuffin It would make me happy as well. He has always been an inspiration to me, so i would love to know some more stuff about him! About Mushroomhead, the thing is, they have not had much exposure with Loudwire, like Machine head or many other bands. I have noticed they do interviews and that kind of stuff when the artist has released or will release a book, an album or anything as a publicity thing.

I love these videos. They're fresh and original (and have Trivium!), so much better than the error infested waters of Loudwire's written content.
