I had my mind blown 27yrs ago by a high end fashion magazine: a full page photo featured a model from the knees down, clad in light brown shoes and black tights. IT LOOKED INCREDIBLE. I tried to copy the picture and failed again and again. It _always_ looked like trash. Thankfully these misguided attempts didn't see the light of day. I wasn't gonna inflict that horror on the general public. Even _at 15_ I knew better.... BTW, at 15 I regularly wore blueish silver lipstick to the mall. I genuinely believed _that_ looked good and yet I knew a light shoe/solid black tights combo was a shit show. I wish I still had the magazine. I can only imagine the stylist was a wizard who warped reality and reason to make those shoes and tights work together. I don't know why it worked, but it did! It's been almost 30 years and I haven't seen pale neutral shoes pair with black tights in a beautiful (or flattering) way since. 🤎🖤💔
