when she went on drag race 7 she went home earlier and then later there was a challenge where the queens that went home came back and the remaining queens had to give them a makeover, whichever partners did best would win and the eliminated queen would come back. Trixie got partnered with pearl and they turned it out so she came back.

Trixie touches on the biggest reason why I can’t stand the Drag Race judging/editing style here: they try to make every episode’s elimination a gotchya moment. A good critic should be able to give *constructive* criticism. Trixie’s analogy about the visible bobby pin is an exaggeration, but it’s not far off from the truth. RuPaul and Michelle Visage reach for miles to come up with a joke at the contestants’ expense and commercial bait “reads” for no reason other than they have to make it seem like the contestant that was scripted to leave actually deserved to. Especially in the All Stars seasons, they should address the queens as professionals and be able to realistically evaluate everything. If everyone did well, guess what? Everyone did well. We award who did the best and address the leftovers accordingly, with the understanding that this is a game show where contestants leave. It’s okay to say, “hey, you did well, but here’s where there was room for improvement.” It doesn’t have to turn into Visage insulting Adore Delano to her face in front of everyone. That shit is just unprofessional.
