@@melaniepblc5754 yup, the tiniest bits of empathy and open mindedness will make me fall head over heels and I hate it so much bc we just keep reinforcing the notion of praising men for the bare minimum, but I can't help it since it truly is rare to find a straight man that can be bothered to do even the bare minimum. Thankfully society has been slowly raising the bar but it's still down in like the seventh layer of hell currently.

And I really don't get how straight people are so afraid of gay men or women telling them they find them attractive. yeah somehow being bi almost makes certain straight guys hate you more - I think it makes them feel like they aren't good enough, and your boyfriend always seems to mistrust you around your own best friends. girlfriends were always much more trusting. there were gay girls at my school that got left alone but somehow I got called a slur all the time by the guys, especially by my best friend's boyfriend who didn't "trust me" around her. she ended up breaking up with him over it, but he acted like that for years.
