Tamu is not only one of the best drummers in Japan.. She also plays Xylaphone, Piano, Keyboards, Guitar, Bass and Saxaphone.. She is also a Mom of two children under 5.. The happiest drummer on the planet...

The guest drummer is Shun Minari from a band BLINDMAN. He is Murata Tamu's fellow TAMA Drum endorser and he is also seen paying respect to Tamu by wearing the frog shirt, Tamu's kinda 'signature' shirt since her early days as solo drummer. Another drummers shown the same gesture when invited to appear as guests are Miki "mittan" Tsunoda (of SHOW-YA) and Kyoko Tomita (of PRINCESS PRINCESS) while NEMOPHILA covered SHOW-YA and PRINCESS PRINCESS songs - which are also worth checking out... those two drummers are considered as the legendary Japanese female drummers AND paying respect to (probably another legend in the making) Tamu.

They did multiple covers with guest drummers while Tamu was on maternity leave. The names of Nemophila: Mayu (singer), Haraguchi-san (bassist), Murata Tamu (drums), Hazuki (guitar, the one with glasses), Saki (guitar). And Nemophila's motto is "Live fluffy, play hard as hell."

Yeah, while Tamu was on maternity leave, a few drummers sat in on their covers. They wore the frog t-shirt as a nod to Tamu, who has often worn one. Neither Mayu nor SAKI is afraid of the occasional f-bomb, lol. Mayu sounds pretty different to Zack, but this still works just fine.

You are correct. This is Tamu getting back into shape after giving birth. She was also adding vocals. I don’t remember the drummer off the top of my head, but they used at least two different ones during the period. I was going to send a link to her Fitbit commercial, but I can’t find it anymore. You might want to try the 10 minute video of Murata Tamu Meets Maximum the Hormone on the Black Kucing channel. It is centered on Tamu and all her different skills, but also includes mostly accurate information on Nemophila’s formation.

If you'd like to see a Japanese band with a female screamo singer that was around a few years before Hanabie's Yukina and Nemophila's Mayu check out Dazzle Vision. They were a band from 2004 till 2014. They finished up just as Babymetal was getting recognition in Japan and some interest overseas starting the Japanese invasion we see today. They played in the US at Sakura con in 2010 held in Seattle and were pretty popular for what the genre was at the time. Try their song "Second" or "Vision".

Love your Nemophila reactions! This video is really fun to watch. Both Nemophila playing this song and your reaction 😊 If you like „Rage Against the Machine“, like i do as well, saw them in 2000 or 2001, you should check out another band with the name „Voice of Baceprot“. They are from Indonesia and already Tom Morello „approved“. You could start with their cover of „Killing in the Name“ and then dive into their original stuff, maybe starting with „School Revolution“.

Great cover. But please no hate . The original is still better. Only because Zachs rap flow and Tom Morello's Guitar are one of a kind. And cant be replicated. Although the solo was close. Still the best cover of a RATM song I have heard. Respect.

COREY TAYLOR AND CLOWN CASH GRAB M.F'S How the hell is founding members now a traveling band not full members? Especially Taylor who joined 3rd album in. The knot died with Paul amd Joey's Sacking.
