Our 5th Venture on the water learning to use our equipment.
1 target 14 Scans and 12 different outcomes
We notified the local authorities of our findings and they spent an entire day searching the depths of water in the immediate vicinity for the objects in the location we provided them. Unfortunately their equipment lacked the clarity and precision that our equipment has so they were not absolutely positive they located the objects we had directed them to. The river water has zero visibility so the divers are basically blind underwater, it’s all by feel and all they could find were logs and rocks.
On this part of our venture we revisited the area to confirm our coordinates which took a few tries (like 14) to figure out that our original scan coordinates were spot on, but depending on the angle and the approaching path we would get a completely different view.
This was our second experience learning how easy it is to miss or misidentify a target.
