Thank you for inspiring me ❤😄 I should do more art. Indeed tiktok and the live section of young ...sometimes very younggg people making perfect portraits makes me feel like my art is crap😂. But it is not only about the looks. It is just so fun to do and lifts my spirits.

Commenting so you hopefully end up on more people’s home page. You were on mine, this is the first video of yours that I have seen and I’m currently in the 3-5 year art block chapter of life, wanting so desperately to be in the next chapter of my journey where I get back to creating and remembering why I loved creating so much. So thank you for posting this because although it might not be the defining moment where I pick my sketchbook back up, it definitely pushed me one step closer to getting back to creating!❤️

Hi, new to the channel. "Something happened" - could that be the same kind of "something" that happened to my artistic abilities? I think in my case, living life took away my ability and desire to practice and without practice, all of that ability melted away. I started art as soon as i could hold a crayon- no inhibitions, no judgments or worries, and no guilt about playing... just freedom to create and pure enjoyment of the process, regardless of the outcome. Practice eventually made me good, lack of practice eventually made me bad. You're absolutely right, you have to make bad art first. I too went to watercolor for my artistic rehabilitation. I would also recommend alcohol inks, you're kind of just making beautiful messes with them but it helps you start creating and developing technique again. Plus the ink is fairly affordable. Thanks for sharing desite not being able to meet your previous abilities yet.

Ps, I think art is a muscle. Like sports, if you don't practise you lose that muscle, but the memory of it makes it easier to rebuild. I quit art for 4 years but I started getting properly back into it a year and a half ago and now I'm doing a degree in an arts subject! :) I was really worried at first, because for a while my art was terrible again, but after about 3 months it clicked again. A professor recently told us that it takes a lot of making bad to art eventually make good stuff- keep at it !
