yup dang this game was kinda hard on the NES, but it's way harder in the arcade! Ultra awesome job one cc ing it!
@MrMaskaman9 жыл бұрын
sneekyweezel Thanks mate! Yes, this is one of the hardest arcades made by Capcom, even more difficult than Ghosts'n Goblins. It's quite short but there are parts which are extremely difficult and random.

I'll give it a try, thanks for the help bro! I couldn't find a good guide for this very old game so a sincere thank you! If I can make it past this point then Achilles shouldn't pose much a problem because I could see his pattern right away!:D

¡Gracias Nanorro!

What general strategy do you use for the Double Iron Man boss fight at the end of stage 5? I can't find anything that works consistently other than getting really lucky. (I've tried what you do in the video, but the AI doesn't react the same way.)
@MrMaskaman8 жыл бұрын
I uploaded this gameplay long ago and I don't remember the strategies I used. If I played the game now I wouldn't get very far, haha. I'm watching the video again, and it seems that I wait for their low attack, and then I hit them like mad (both standing and crouching). Anyway, this game is quite random and you depend a lot on luck and skill. There are not good consistent strategies. For example, in the second loop I died in that spot. Maybe the rom you are using is different too and the behaviour of the enemies changes. I have watched other gameplays and the enemies deal less damage in some of them, so maybe there are other changes too. The rom I used was the US version (not romstar) but maybe the main rom has changed too. Sorry for not being very helpful, but this game is extremely difficult, even more than Ghosts'n Goblins. I guess I got luck with this gameplay.

Thanks for the reply. I'm playing the officially emulated version on Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 1 for PS2. I certainly agree about Trojan being harder than Ghosts'n Goblins! Anyway, the video was already greatly helpful as is. I'll just keep plucking away...
@MrMaskaman8 жыл бұрын
Good luck! I'm sure that you will make it if you keep trying. The good thing is that the ending doesn't change in the second loop, so you can say that you have beaten the game if you just finish the first one. I haven't tried the Capcom Classics Collection version, so I don't know if there are differences.

Wait a minute wait a minute wait wait wait wait.... Trojan harder than Ghosts and Goblins? Wow. I completed Trojan one coin both trips, but couldn't get anywhere on Ghosts and Goblins. :o
@MrMaskaman8 жыл бұрын
Maybe you are really good at this game. Many people (including myself) think that Trojan is harder than GnG despite being shorter. You only need to check how many videos of people completing GnG are here on KZbin. It's true that it's a more famous game, but not as difficult as it is said.

@MrMaskaman9 жыл бұрын
Marcel Weber ¡Gracias!

Mad skills bro! I'm having a bit trouble on stage 5. When you have to fight those robot guys at the end of the stage, both at the same time, is there a strategy behind it? I swear I've tried like 500 times and I just can't get past it! They kill me with like 2 hits and they are fast and unpredictable as well! I watched your video and couldn't quite understand if there was a pattern. Please enlighten me as I'm freaking out completely! They're the only ones in the way for my trophy!

Buenas...
@MrMaskaman8 жыл бұрын

Hello, I have been doing a feature for my stream called 1CC Requests and your videos have been a great help! This game is my next challenge, but I cannot pull off your 2nd loop Achilles strat for the life of me. No matter what I try he always blocks, even if I hit him in his attack startup. I understand you haven't played this in a long time, but would appreciate it if you remember anything to help with that.
@joshthefunkdoc7 жыл бұрын
Well, I finally figured it out on my stream tonight! I'll explain it for anyone else who may not understand: Achilles will block all of your attacks when within your sword's range...until you get close enough to him, which will make him instantly attack. You need to jump attack him from a mid-long range to make him block, then inch forward and attack~block very carefully until he lets his guard down. I do a piano-style input for the attack->block bit, as you need to execute that perfectly to block his attack in time. There may still be a bit of luck to it, but it's definitely more about execution once you understand how he works. I'm coming for that 1CC now...
@MrMaskaman7 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response although I see that you already figured it out. I played this game many years ago and I barely remember most of the things I had to do in order to beat it. Achilles in the second loop is just a monster and you need to execute an exact set of movements to be able to hit him (the one I use in the gameplay). Still, you need some luck. I think there are some gameplays in Replays Burner's channel in which they beat him easily although they may be using autofire, as they are Japanese players. Sorry for not being very helpful, but I can't say anything besides what you can see in the gameplay. Good luck with your 1cc, this game can be really frustrating!

You got to beat it twice for the real ending
@MrMaskaman8 жыл бұрын
Yes, that happened in several Capcom games from that time, like Tiger Road (only in the Japanese version). The difference with GnG is that the ending remains the same, so there's no point in beating the two loops except for the challenge.
