Fun fact: the same artist (The Amazing Spino) and company are set to release another, based on their design of Dinobot. The design has Dinobot transforming into the same vehicle as Bonecrusher from the '07 movies

Check out theamazingspino, this design was based on his work and in fact I believed he consulted on the development of the figure. All of his Transformers work is the perfect marriage between G1 and Bay movie designs.

@@shinobitreecko8442 no doubt in my mind i primarily was saying the way his propeller blades are set and his overall upper body the only thing that keeps it from being exactly similar apart from the Alt mode obviously it's an Earth based Helicopter where FOC Vortex is an Alien based Helicopter is the Robot mode legs as Vortexs are a bit more Bulky where as this Waspinators is Slimmer to be more in line with His Beast Wars counterpart.

Um this version isn't the Waspinator that would be appearing in Rise of the Beasts(If he even is going to show up in it since only one Predacon has been revealed via toys and that is our friend Scorpionok) But this Waspinator is based off of artwork done by someone named TheAmazingSpino who has done all kinds of artwork of transformers with these movie style earth alt-modes. Trojan horse here is currently working on a dinobot with an alt mode that is the same as Bonecrusher.

I gotta say, without Emgo, this would be a beyond nightmarish transformation... 3rd-party transformation instructions are notoriously poor. Bot mode and vehicle mode are awesome, colors pop and the mod/details are fantastic! I'm really looking forward to Dinobot, but I hope the transformation is smoother... how awesome would it be to have more Beast Wars and maybe even Dinobot figures with alt-Earth modes.. I didn't hear Emgo mention it, maybe I missed it, or maybe it's in another comment-- but the shoulders/doors are switched/reversed in the box, they need to be switched obv prior to transformation..

I like it but the only down side is that they changed the thigh and leg panels. If you look at the art and the original model of the toy for the art you’ll notice the differences but other than that it’s still a good design, wish they kept the original one but it’s still worth it.🗿

It's a Sikorsky S-97 Raider. It's actually built by the same company that built the MH-53 Pave Low and the CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters, which were used as Blackout and Grindor's alt modes in the movies. And, yes, this figure is actually based on a fan artist's work. He created various pieces of artwork for various characters in the movie style.....Basically a "What if these characters were in the movies" scenario. And now, he's working with the company that produced this figure to take them from the art concept realm into the physical realm as third party figures!
