He's not kidding about the snow pile lasting until July. Well, it might be a bit of a stretch for that pile, but if you ever drive by ski hills in June or early July, there's a good chance a portion of the jumps might still be there, as it takes a long, LONG time for them to melt, even with consistent warm, sunny weather. It's kinda fun to see. :)

The game name you might be thinking of is mancala, but the game style is global and called something different all over the world. That style of game is called a "sowing game" (like sowing seeds).
