I made a similar deck over the weekend with Sarulf. Fiend Artisan really punished those mill decks nicely. Instead of all destroys, I focused more heavily on opponent sacrifices like Eradicator Valkyrie with Moss-Pit Skeleton recycle.

Last season was great content with the ultra competitive mythic but this is great content with the awesome decks and some different matchup. Favorite part of CGB is he doesnt try to hide that he is human and doesnt put up a front. Gets happy and upset like the rest of us.

Actually is only losely based on real greek, but the end result is a fictional writing twisted enough to still sound like greek, but is not real greek, that's not how you would actually say "many headed" in real greek (a trick MTG writers abuse A LOT to name stuff in the cards and stories). Also the "greek" used in Theros should be more akin to old Koiné greek rather than modern, so the U should be more like french U, rather than english E.

This looks fantastic. Seen a few arena videos from you guys, Keep up the great work. I walked away in 2010 as a G/B -now known as Golgari player, and ended with assasians tribal deck with win in city. True U/W player at heart though, Golgari just has to much removal, but tbh i liked the binding of the old gods saga. Lot of hate revolving around that card. I do watch the entire hour of the vids. Nice to see all the mythic games while chilling with my budget arena collection. :)

hey cgb, that card is actually called "Clackety Boi", Wizards just fcked up the name on the card, like they tend to do a lot ;) edit: yes yes yes! the spiritmonger/pernicious deed deck was the first deck that gave me a serious headache back in the day because my MTG sensei bought it off eBay and I had a VERY limited card pool (almost no rares). great times. ^^

Thought i’d add a supportive comment! You did not miss lethal in game 2. Had you played Kaervak and the Troll, you would have had a 7/7 trample haste and the 2/2 hydra, the opp would have a 2/1 lifelink lurrus at 8 life. They could have traded with the hydra and gained no life (since Palukranos prevents the life link damage) and gone to 1, or they could have chumped the troll, taking 6 trample and 2 unblocked but gaining 2 back and ending at 2 life. It might still have been the play since it would have forced the trade/chump while your attack gave the opp the option to take 3 and keep lurrus, forcing the fight mana sink, but by that point you were so far ahead that it probably didn’t matter what you did you were likely to win anyway. Great video as always!

I have a theory about Rogues players that tank every single play (even their land drops). They're mono red players who've finally gotten bored. But because they're mono redders who've never had to think through a play in their entire life, they get overwhelmed. Just a theory, mind you, but one that probably holds some water.

20:26 you didn't miss lethal, the opponent could just sac the Lurrus and tap the Troll, so you would only deal 3 anyway and draw an extra card which would make an Enforcer lethal, so that was the right play imo

Also, with the Kaervek on the field, wouldnt the troll be 7/7 and the Polu would be a 2/2? So any Lurrus block isn't lethal either.

The troll works pretty well in combination with masacre worm. Because an enemy player is likely to heartless act ur troll to death, but they won't kill the sheep typically. So when you play masacre worm it kills the two sheep and deals 4 additional damage.

I love this deck it's right up my lane. I just came back to the game on the Arena after selling my collection a few years ago. What would it take for a side board from a more skilled and current player than I? I get wrecked in the late came when I go against any form of Control; Azorious or Sulti Ult. @@alteisengenji8874 I sure didn't understand anything about your comment. What I know is that Massacre Girl was a good card because it could sweep the board and triggers multiple times, while the Wurm can only kill a handful of low cost creatures and triggers only once.

I have a similar deck but it's 2 elder gargoroths and 2 trolls as the 5 topper with one ghalta one great henge clackbridges whopping 8 power means those latter 2 cards come in for a measily 2 green and 8 dmage from clack and 12 from ghalta is a killshot if they still have starting life total.

They just need to reprint Gaea's blessing. Played it in historic and every mill/rouges player scooped as soon as they milled it. It doesn't turn the rouge deck off but it does hurt it.
