The thing to do is keep an eye on the actual company name at the address. The sign at the shop might say American sweet shop or something but check companies house and I bet there's like 3 or 4 companies listed there. In my town they do it with dessert parlours, every few months there is a new one on just eat, check the address and its the same address as the other ones. Store name and signage all stays the same though.

Candy shops like that have opened up in the main areas of Yorkshire and Manchester as well and they never have anyone in there buying anything but somehow manage to afford the rent. Laundering is the only actual thing that makes sense. One of the shop keepers of the candy shop in Hudds got kicked out of a bar near it for dealing coke and he also happens to work there. Make it make sense. The best way to know is if they close down before it has been up for a whole year so they dont have to declare earnings to HMRC who are the only ones actually catching them, not the useless police.

It's happening in a lot of cities now. Look at all the fast food takeaway places for example. A whole street full of shops selling curries! How do they all stay in business? Would a street full of chippies stay in business? There just isn't enough customers to keep them all going, the same with all these Turkish barber shops that are opening up all over the place.
