bill, you did a great job rigging your kayak for days of fun. i looked this vid up because i want to put my minn kota 55 thrush onto my kayak and i think your board set up is the answer. i like the way you angled off the main board to keep the motor level when not using. also like the idea of the two batteries. the extra pipes mounted onto the angled main board is also another good idea since your, and mine will be also, pole holders are now the holders for the motor support board. thanks for the good ideas for my kayak set up, this will make my summer much more enjoyable and i will be able to actually travel further up and down river for fishing and just for some fun and exercise. lets catch some fish....

Love that this helped. The 55lb is pretty heavy. Would love to know if it was able to be supported on a kayak.

Looks tail heavy. I don't think this will function all that great. Maybe that's why we don't have you actually use it on the water ?

Actually, it was not tail heavy. The motor worked great on the kayak. I decided to buy the Pelican bass raider shortly after so I could fish more with my daughter. I swapped this motor to that boat and never went back to film footage of it in action.

I’m 6’3 200 pounds I have successfully stood and fished from this kayak. Not fun at all 😂

Lol. Ya, I do believe that would not be fun. I have since replaced this kayak with the Pelican 10E. Much better to fish from.
