I understand that opinions on movies can vary, but I genuinely enjoyed 'Trolls 3' for a few reasons. First and foremost, the animation was absolutely stunning. The vibrant colors and attention to detail brought the world of the trolls to life in a way that was visually captivating also the soundtrack was another standout feature for me. The music choices were not only catchy but also added an extra layer of fun to the movie. well the storyline, perhaps not groundbreaking, was engaging and suitable for the target audience.Of course, everyone has their own preferences when it comes to movies, but for those who appreciate a visually stunning animation, a lively soundtrack, and a heartwarming storyline, 'Trolls 3' is certainly worth a watch :) for me it is not a bad franchise

You know, I don’t think I’ll ever get over the fact that this movie’s plot happens essentially because Branch’s brothers exploited him when he was a *baby,* all to fulfill the five-member boy band quota of the time. Obvious actor allusion aside, that violates *so* many child endangerment laws. I mean, at least the Jacksons and the Osmonds waited until their youngest brothers were old enough to understand show business before letting them join their bands. This, on the other hand, is straight out of the Olsen twins. I’m sure the kids who watch this movie will think “Why doesn’t Branch want a reunion?” but for me it’s like, “No *wonder* Branch doesn’t want a reunion.* As if singing killing Branch’s grandma wasn’t enough… But hey, if you guys don’t want my hot-takes, just wait until next week

It is very clear to me that the priorities of these films isn't on the storytelling. It is colourful visuals, recognisable singers, regardless if they act or voice act and even people who doesn't know much about them and pop songs. Whilst there were some qualities of the films such as the voice acting, the little moments, some bits of humour and subtle morals such as colonialism (you can thank World Tour for that), that is all there is to it.

Honestly, I was just surprised when I heard this was coming out this year. It's only been, like, three years since the last one. You'd think they would have waited a little longer. But for as much as I enjoy these films, I have to admit, this one's set-up got to me as it honestly felt like they just adapted someone's fanfiction. Granted, Branch's extended family had a legitimate attempt at a good explanation, but the back story of Poppy's sister is so contrived, like, apparently, she was there during the opening scene of the first movie but we conveniently never saw her on-screen.

The villains are Betty spagetti's cousins, they really feels out of place in this universe. It would be interresting if the new villain is Grandma's husband and he hates Branch because it was her fault she dies. Maybe he could make a troll army with all the others who survived afther the Bergens attack; tell them the King will never save them and only he can be trusted. It can have a message about not judging others and moving forward. Sounds more creative and fun than what we got 🙂

I know that this series has its fans, but I've never been one. I would place these films on the same level mentally as Hotel Transylvania, for me. While not every attempt to be funny was in such poor taste as those films, and there are legitimately fun animation moments, the poor designs, the mishmash of colors, and the incoherent lack of any design language after the first's already low standards make this series the only one ever to make me experience seasickness on the same level as The Asylum's most low-budget output. I've never agreed with Matt's opinion of the animation, although I do concur with him about the story and characters.

DreamWorks released The Bad Guys and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish last year. The latter being their best film in literally years. This year they went from those to this and Ruby Gillman. Honestly as you said, I think it be better if they had focused on Viva, poppy’s sister first in the 3rd sequel. Dive into her story, and engagement/personality to her others around her, and home. And obvious fact that Branch’s brother was also there, can make some interesting parallels between viva and clay, to Poppy and Branch for storytelling. Viva being the overbearing anxiety-driven talker with the role as the leader. While clay is the calm, yet freethinker. Which can push Viva outside her own walls, to find her lost sister. Which would makes sense, as she is the older sister, who knows, unlike poppy. So it would be better, to focus on her, rather then the cliche main characters. To when she finds her sister, which can take place by asking one of the other genre trolls. Or an adventure I’m not sure. But to when she finds her, branches recognises clay. Which can leap into this sequel, the band gets back together. Having the time and focus only on branch.

Puss in Boots 2 gaslighted the entire internet into thinking that DreamWorks only makes masterpieces. When in reality they make 3 types of movies that you don't know which one you're going to get; either a cult classic masterpiece (Kung Fu Panda, HTTYD), an average forgettable film (the Penguins of Madagascar, Mr Peabody & Sherman), or a complete disaster (Shark Tales, Boss Baby.)

Dreamworks, what was once one of the animation companies I looked up to for several years, almost as much as Pixar, Studio Ghibli and Cartoon Saloon, is now a company I can hardly even comprehend anymore. Say what you will about he worst films from the animation studios I mentioned, but with them, the effort and talent is very evident. And they aren't so bad to the point that doesn't feel like it was made by them. But with Dreamworks, since 2015, each time they release a new movie, especially a bad one, it always makes me think: "This was done by the same people who made The Prince of Egypt". Why is it so hard to be consistent with the quality of their films nowadays!?

To be honest, they’ve always been very inconsistent with their film quality even in the earlier years prior to 2015. I do like Dreamworks and can put out amazing works, but this is for sure has always been my main issue with the studio. For example: Shrek 2 👍🏻 Shark Tale 👎🏻 ^ Both 2004 releases Kung Fu Panda 👍🏻 Madagascar 2 👍🏻 Monsters vs. Alien 👎🏻/🫳🏻 (depending on how you view it) HTTYD1 👍🏻 ^ 2008-2010 releases back to back Hopefully Kung Fu Panda 4 next year will put them back again.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’d never thought Dreamworks would make the same mistakes as Shrek the Third especially given how infamous that film is in tarnishing Shrek’s reputation in the mid 2000s after the high he had with the first 2 films. I thought that film had such a negative effect on them that they’d be more careful with making their third installment films in their other franchises and avoid the same negative impact, and their third installment films like Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, Kung Fu Panda 3 and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World were better than Shrek the Third. But then this comes out and proves me wrong and that Dreamworks really didn’t learn anything from the whole Shrek the Third disaster. I’ll be honest, the first two Trolls movies were kinda down the middle to me. But MAN, DreamWorks was doing SO well last year with The Bad Guys and Puss in Boots 2, but they completely blew it this year with the box-office failure of Ruby Gillman, and how this Trolls movie had some disappointing reactions from audiences from what I’m hearing. Maybe this franchise needs to die already so it doesn’t become like Ice Age. Hoping they do better next year.

It's kinda like Sony releasing Spider Man Into the Spiderverse, Vivo and Mitchells vs the Machines, then Hotel Transylvania 4 after all that. If DreamWorks came back in 2022 than 2023 is when they slipped and fell down but maybe next year DreamWorks will get back up and be great again. Trolls is a series I've seen as just okay and passed on for other better movies from the studio everyone has that one series that pays the bills and is just fine at best nothing really harmful or awful. It feels weird that they basically ignored Trolls: World Tour other than Tiny Diamond. It’s like one of THOSE sequels that ignores the previous sequel and acts like this is the “real” sequel to the first film/last sequel, which was fine when Pixar did something similar with Cars 3 given how infamous Cars 2 is. I’d understand why they’d want to ignore that film whereas with Dreamworks ignoring World Tour, it doesn’t really make that much sense. Plus, there were benefits to World Tour like its worldbuilding and different species of trolls based on different genres of music and new characters that became fan favorites like Queen Barb. Why act like that film no longer exists anymore when it ironically added something more substantial to this franchise than this recent sequel? 🤨

Trolls Band Together Things I don’t like about the movie. The movie was fun tho but it played out too weirdly. 1. Poppy’s friends only appeared at the opening and never returned at the end. They don’t even have much lines so at the ending of the film, why are their actor names showing? 2. Poppy and Viva (we’ll mostly Poppy) talk way too fast. Poppy doesn’t talk that fast from the previous films. 3. The movie felt a little rushed. The boy band didn’t get enough screen time together with Floyd. The ending completely skips over Viva’s reunion with Poppy and their dad despite being kept a secret for decades. We see how bad King Peppy feels about Viva’s existence and we don’t get to see him apologize to his daughters. It’s anti climax. 4. It doesn’t have enough action. The N’sync characters were only shown at the end of the movie which is weird and bad timing.

Trust me, it’s common for ads to feature a side character so prominently like they have a major role only to be a minor character without much significance to the plot. Pretty much like how the advertising for Elemental prominently featured Clod and made him look like the film’s comic relief despite having only little screen time.

Yes, the story is not that deep 😅 but animation, the songs, the easter eggs, and overall atmosphere of the movie was so amazing! I think I want to see it again. Trolls Band Together was a pretty decent movie but i think the only good part about this movie is that one of everyone's favorite boy band NSYNC finally came back over 20 years. But I am highly doubt that people have been playing around with Disney and DreamWorks way too much because for a lot of reasons. They just made Disney's life a living hell by hating some of the movies that has the LGBT+ like Lightyear and Strange World but they just have no strong feelings about Turning Red because they don't care about the movie. But now in this year they just made DreamWorks life a living hell too because of Ruby Gilman flops in the box office and having a thrid Trolls movie that everyone says that "nobody asked for another trolls movie". I mean the only problem is that the people has been really confusing everyone over of which they should be like in Disney or DreamWorks or not both of them. Because it was their idea to choose DreamWorks over Disney and say some stupid rants about Disney failing because they cannot make better sequels or original films. I mean Disney should not be the one to be hated of. I think the only person should be getting hate on for ruining Disney is Bob the CEO of the company. So I guess the lesson learned is that do not choose companies over companies and don't get DreamWorks involved with any of Disney's problems because that's really none of their business.

With Dreamworks, it’s a game of picking something out of a dark box. You never know which one you’ll get, it could be something you might cherish for future generations, or could be something you could enjoy, but just forgot of its existence a year or two later, or get something that’s like a toy that could easily break if you play with it for five minutes. The fact that Dreamworks would just pump out garbage instead of listening to fans that have been with them even after 2015’s flop, Home seriously hurts the company that once was special. But like Disney, they let the money consume them and let themselves go and make something bad just for money. I’m planning to cancel my Peacock subscription because of this. Even Universal this year is putting out shitty titles that are just forgettable at best.

Honestly after watching the first two again earlier this year I feel like this movie is the best Trolls movie yet, but that's not saying much when I hated World Tour and the first was just meh. I think the message about siblings and the various relationships that can exist between them is done alright (probably cause it's rare to see one that actually focuses on multiple takes of it these days) and... As my first big screen experience with a “Trolls” movie, it’s just about what I expect from one of DreamWorks’ most lucrative franchises of the 2010 decade. While still as unimpressed as I am with these borefests, the only positive thing to take away from the “Trolls” trilogy is listening to Justin Timberlake’s ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’, ‘The Other Side’, and ‘Better Place’. I knew this movie was going to be shit by the first trailer. The whole "Long, lost sibling who's better in every way" and "Let's get the band back together" are such lame, low-stakes cliches that belong in a TV show. Film plots are supposed to be cinematic.

Wow, I didn’t respect 2023 was DreamWorks’ year to be so poorly bad. Since 2022 was a good year for DreamWorks with the Bad Guys and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish as a wonderful comeback for them, but now with, Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken and this for 2023 was poorly sad about it for its comeback to this year. Hopefully for 2024, I think this could be better when Orion and the Dark and Kung Fu Panda 4 was getting prepared for its return like 2022 does. But after 2024 was over, 2025 will be awesome for DreamWorks Animation as the ultimate comeback of the age.

Wait a minute, I just realized that Trolls Band Together has become the new Open season 3 or Shrek the third!! Think about it, all these 3rd entries just gave up and did the bare minimum of entertaining younger audiences. All it did was feature the same world building, the same characters that also brings in newer ones who aren't memorable, passable visuals with zero passion, and weak/ dull stories. Therefore, Trolls 3 is a film I'm glad to skip out and has entered into everyone's nightmare of franchise fatigue!!! Just shame on Dreamworks, honestly I'm dreading if Kung Fu Panda 4 is ever gonna be good?!!! 😤😤😤
