Thanks for all the nice comments everyone 😊This video didn't do so well when I initially uploaded it and I think its picking up traction because of the new trolls movie lol. I'm really happy that so many people are rediscovering this show because its lingered in the back of my mind for years and I noticed no one in the cartoon community was making videos about it. So I hope people keep talking about it and girly magical cartoons in general. The whole series is available on youtube too so dont hesitate to watch ! Thanks again for watching ! 🤗

I LOVED trollz, I rewatched it a couple of months ago and it's one if the best examples of what early 2000s girl media was: fashion talk, a group of friends that are all diferent stereotypes but they are besties, a simple magic system, having VERY obvious love interests, being the "weird group" but that always sticks together no matter what and general tween targeted school drama. It's such a no thoughts, head empty, just vibes show; it's a great time to watch if you want to just watch something and not use your brain for a while and not take it too seriously.

The long hair, the magical bracelets, the fact that they’re able to use magic. It almost like Dreamworks took a lot of inspiration from this show. Minus the belly button jewelry and the modern/futuristic but fantasy vibe. And the trolls from Dreamworks actually used their long hair to an advantage. Also the shows artstyle reminds me of Winx Club. Fantasy mixing in with modern/futuristic technology.

@VaylaRyan Жыл бұрын
I’d watch it. I’m so desperate for another season of this show 😭
@bitterflywing Жыл бұрын
@@VaylaRyan I guess my comment got deleted... So season 1 starts off with 5 pure of heart freeing Simon While season 2 will introduce 5 women pure of heart, only pure evil So what do they want? Nymphs typically steal children but get bored with them once they grow up. Simon who doesn't age gets adopted as their nephew, so whatever Simon wants, his aunts will see that he gets it aka the crown. So it's basically the five girls of pure good vs the five women of pure evil I'd want the second season to start with a new school year since we didn't get a Halloween episode, so the girls can be 15 year old sophomores while the aunts are perpetually 30 since nymphs typically stop aging in their prime. I'm working on the script now and the comic will be up and running soon. You'll find it.

It would be interesting to see BFFL getting a cameo in some way in Dreamwork’s Trolls franchise. While the chance is very slim, they already fit the music category so they wouldn’t have to change them that much besides some design alteration. Edit: Forgot that Dreamworks made Trolls, not Pixar
@enriqueramirez0615 Жыл бұрын
And by Cameo basically the original characters but with the new physical design, and placement within each Clans. For example: Ruby & Onyx as "Hard Rock Trolls", Sapphire as a "Techno Troll", Amethyst & Topaz as "Pop Trolls".
@ondiiina11 ай бұрын
@@enriqueramirez0615 Nah they could get away with making the two franchises linked. Have Trollz be set in a far away country or something to explain the difference in styles. The show already has a concept of different kinds of trolls and stuff, they could easily have a throwaway line to explain a small cameo. Or even easier: make it an in-universe show. Maybe even like Puffy AmiYumy (if that's the name?) where it's a fictional show loosely based on a real group and they made the opening theme. Could explain why their appearance in the movie wouldn't match their original designs!

It altered my brain chemistry, it inspired my aesthetic and I even went through watching the whole show again just to see it completely through and be immersed in the Y2K vibes I grew up with. I genuinely did like the story and characters at times and stayed invested in the friend group and their ups and downs. Big agreement on the second season though since the second half of the first was so rushed into being super lore focused and it even stressed the characters to points they just forgot to involve ones they introduced. It could've been so much cooler if they balanced it right. Regardless this video reminded me of them and my childhood, and inspired me to draw a few things. Thank you.

I was a big Trollz fan when I was around 11-12 (I'm 29 now). I mainly watched the Finnish dub (which is still find quite good, I manage to find it some years ago and rewatched it) on the Finnish channel 4, but I also enjoyed watching it in English and Dutch (the Finnish DVD releases had also those dubs), even though I didn't understand them much as a kid. I never really liked the dolls, thought they looked weird, but still bought a few (and I still have them, as well as some other merch). Watching your video was very nostalgic and made me happy, thank you! Trollz still has a very special place in my heart, so finding a video essay about it really made my day. THANK YOU. ❤🎉 I’ve been searching for this show for my entire life because I remember the magic bracelets so vividly from my childhood but I never knew what show it came from. I finally found it thanks to you, thank you for making this video ❤❤

I had a dvd of this show as a kid and i liked it but always hoped for the episodes and plot to get better.😢 I recall being a world where girls were born with a personalized stones that gave them unlimited magic …… and all they did was go the mall, school and chase after boys who were mean to them. Why ??? Who ever wrote those episodes doomed the show

Oh God, this is such a throwback. I literally still have the VCDs for this series, albeit not enough for an entire season. I also loved the character design and I think it might have had influenced me as an artist a little bit, now that I think about it. The theme song is honestly such a bop too, we need to bring back actual songs as theme songs to the Western animation industry.
