Two questions for you. 1. Who else think a lot about the background? 2. Anyone who like to print out your work?

Hi, I like to create photo books and yes prints too, I am running out of walls though 😊

Think more and more about the background for my photography these days yes :) love to spring my work. Have a black and white aluminum print of a white tail eagle in the size 100 x 150 cm on the wall in my livingroom. I think you saw that image once, but anyways... just love that image :)

Lovely video Trond. Fantastic images at the end. 1. I think about the background all the time now. When I first started bird photography I only ever concentrated on getting the bird in focus. Never even thought of the background! Paying attention to how the objects behind the bird will appear in the image is almost as important as the bird itself nowadays for me. A distracting background (too bright, contrasty, strong shapes etc) can ruin a perfectly focussed subject. 2. I’ve never tried printing any of my photos! I don’t own a printer. I might try sending a photo to an online print service maybe but have no idea about optimum file settings for printing. Must just have a go one day!

Wonderful, Trond! They are known here in the US as golden crowned kinglets. They also have a cousin - the ruby crowned kinglet. I've been blessed to capture both of these lovely creatures. And you're right they do not sit still for a second!

Do you get R. regulus (the goldcrest) in the US? I thought the golden crowned kinglet was a different species (R. Satrapa)?

Hi. Great video, beautiful photos. I get some pictures printed at a camera store and hour away, it’s the closest to where I live. I would love to learn how to print my own photos some day. Have you ever considered doing a video showing your printing procedure.

Fantastic images, Trond. We've very rarely had a goldcrest in our garden here in Cardiff. We've found them very difficult just to spot, so to get such good images is incredible.

Hi Trond, first of all sorry to hear about your Dad, but you will have some fantastic memories. Loved your photos, you always take great pictures. We live in England my Husband has seen a Gold crest first one this year but I still have to see one.😂😂 Take care and see you next time 😊😊

Great vlog. Great photographs. Stunning print 👏 . The other bird in the video, was it a willow tit or marsh tit? Over here in Britain the willow tit, has become Britain's fastest declining small bird. I'm lucky here in a small town called Radcliffe nr Manchester, England . To have a small population of them. Best regards mick 👍

I been really doing more wider enviromental shots with my subjects. But i do try to be aware of my backgrounds. I love printing. I dont sell any photos anymore but i mainiy do it now or my enjoyment and to print/frame and rotate my favorite shots on my mancave wall. Great video, Trond.

Up until a few weeks ago I had never seen a Goldcrest in my life, to my absolute amazement a flock of about a dozen passed by me in a hedgerow. No opportunity to photograph them unfortunately but just to see them was memorable. Beautiful images as usual Trond and I can’t agree more with printing, framing and hanging precious moments on the wall. It makes all the effort worthwhile 👌 I just wish I had bigger walls 😉
