One of the least expensive CT casting multiplier reels on the market, the Tronixpro Envoy Mag could appeal to beach anglers looking for decent performance on a budget. Here's a brief review of the key features.

I'M 62 years old and I heard about you a long time ago. I remember a reading a piece about Mag tuning a reel. I've always loved conventional reels, something about the RPM'S was hypnotic. I now have an ABU Garcia Inshore reel and I just changed the spool bearings for a set of ceramic bearings and I am looking forward to making my first cast soon. Even in the U.S. you are a legend and an inspiration. Fishing has gotten me through some incredibly tough times. I am an old Penn man and started casting with a 940, I loved that reel. Well it took me long enough to see you in action. THANKS

the 8 brake blocks can be run 1 at a time until none exist. saves on trying to find parts when you're out.

I wouldn't say you have to shell out a massive amount for a tougher reel. I went to buy a reel yesterday, and already owning an ambassadeur these just looked like a slightly less well built version. In the end I picked up a Penn 525mag2.. For £100. Not exactly breaking the bank, and the quality is higher.

What kind of stick were you using & what kind of meters were you getting (yardage for us USA peeples) ?? Nice review - seems not be available in the USA, tho' checking S&H w/Veals

I've mainly used it with a Conoflex Flick Tip and 150g of lead. Fishes comfortably up to 150m, so distance potential really isn't an issue. I would suggest that US anglers would do better to buy an equivalent Abu, Penn or Daiwa reel - that way spare parts and after sales service would be available. On the more personal level, of all the reels on the market, I still prefer the basic Daiwa 7HT.

Thanks - probably going to stay w/my old Squidder & an ABU 6500 C3 CT MAG-Elite - both have been magged as best as possible. I'm really a beach spinner ...

Are you still using this reel? I am just getting into shore fishing and am looking for a multiplier that won't break the bank to get me started off. Thanks

Still using it on and off. Not bad for the money, but for the same price I would prefer a used Daiwa 7HT or similar. Better still, save up and buy a new 7HT.
