Price difference and the way you have the Eqs set with my headphones on I’m enjoying the S100. Still enjoy charge 5. I would use both on different in other occasions. Since I have both I’d use the s100 More often. & jbl I. Certain environments. Hats off to tronsmart for increasing their audio quality in general though .

Still love the Charge 5 coz I bought it refurbished for $60. Great comparison but I think Tronsmart isn't bad either. If I take into account the features & retail price for both, I would probably take the Tronsmart but yeah. I'm happy with my Charge 5. People who don't have either should definitely get the Tronsmart.

Thank you for making this video I made sure to wear headphones for this comparison as this thing It looks like it could be a serious Gmail charge 5 contender and I take the charge 5 very seriously out of all my 40 plus speakers.! I'm sold on it.That's for sure the included Handle is a nice touch! Through this recording, I feel like they're fairly close with the transmort. Having a small bit more of something maybe body or just bass but the charge 5, possibly having slightly better highs. Im definitely sold! Screw it if Trump smart got mad that you published this too early. You did your job people want to buy it already. 80 bucks definitely getting one.!

Fun fact The charge 5 With +2 -1 0 eq gains 1 db in bass only losing 0.5 db in volume, and i dont know why jbl Only increases bass when you reduce mids This tronsmart is impressive tough

@@ThibautMahringer s100 have really deep bass which is even more extended if 2 used, it has "rolled off" slightly deep bass but it extendes well and its not too boosted, also if used custom eq when you boost bass you for most of the time boost upper bass too, so for the deepest bass experience i would probably choose rock settings (doesn't sound that great)

If i take off the mesh cover of the s100 it sounds mutch clearer. The mesh has a glue layer who act like a barrier and muffles the sound drastically. I used universal thinner to get rid of the glue.

The eq being different shapes is going to affect perception. I don't understand why people get frustrated like they can't just get a good eq app for free from the app store if the speaker doesn't have any or only has a 3 band eq like JBL. I've got a couple on my phone that are pretty good, like the GlycoX eq, which is free

It's better if your test was done in all flat eq config rather than custom eq. That's the basis of real sound quality, is to test it on flat eq configuration.

Tronsmart always! I have JBL Xtreme 3 ND Version and I am not satisfied with him. But I have Tronsmart Bang Mini 50W, Tronsmart Bang 60W, Tronsmart Force Max 80W and Tronsmart Bang Max 130W and I am very satisfied with them. Bass is always there. :)

Imo the problem with the x3 nd is that it has an even narrower bass peak tgan the gg, altough lower (62 hz gg 60 hz nd) so in some tracks it sounda good but rubbish in others, if you retune it its a different story tough

I'm not sure about the comparison methodology. JBL's volume was lower almost everywhere than Tronsmart's. And I couldn't be sure if the JBL equalizer was in a better position. For understanding, I just bought mirtune))

So, I have a conviction that charge5 is much more better in most situations with proper tune, but, It's much more expensive. So, mirtune would be a great choice fof it's price

Small JBL speakers were always trash. JBL Boomboxes still are the best boomboxes, because deep bass. JBL Boombox 3 Wifi is the only Boombox in the world under 1000€ that has good 32 Hz bass. W KING X20 is weaker at 32 Hz, so JBL Boombox 3 Wifi is still the king. Diamondboxx XL3 is of course the real king, but it's 1800€ aka not under 1000€. I know, some people like loudness, (W King X20) and some people like clean audio (Sony boomboxes) under 1000€, but I like deeper bass in portable speakers. JBL Boombox 3 Wifi is the quietest, but it has the deepest bass. Under 1000€, of course. Diamondboxx is the real king overall, but it's 2 times more expensive and Diamondboxxes don't have an IP or IPX rating.
