they were everything from '87-'92, then after a strong 5-6 year run, they fell off....that's what happens with 99% of the artists out there -- always has & always will. 10 hit singles & a couple of gold & platinum albums ain't too shabby, though.

I would never say Troop were underrated or underappreciated. They were absolutely killing it back in the day: They had undeniable talent, amazing harmonies, superb dancing skills, & from 1987-1992 they scored 10 hit singles along with gold & platinum album sales, & they were all over TV as well as in New Jack City -- They definitely stood out from & above most of the other groups of the time. But it's always the same story with every singing group: Money issues, ego clashes, changing musical tastes, the hit stream drying up which leads to cashflow drying up....99% of the groups eventually fall off & break up. They had a hell of a run, but they are still in the game, & now some of them are writing & producing for other artists, which is where the real money is.....

i just think they fell off. they had a good strong 5-6 year run with 10 hit singles, gold & platinum albums, TV & movie appearances -- that's pretty damn good in the music game. 99% of the artists, bands, & groups we're listening to right now are gonna fall off within 5-6 years or less.

Jon Jon was hitting the hell out them high notes starting at the 5:06 mark to the end of the song, and his low notes are something else to reminds me of Johnny Gill. Steven and Jon Jon are definitely the better singers in the group. Choreography was on point as always, when it comes to performing they definitely up there with New Edition.

2:30-2:42 they showed out then he broke out with some moves before dropping into a split I swear I've seen Krump dancers doing similar moves Troop was correct when they said they had more edge and street dancing styles in their routines than other groups.
