My biggest fear going into this match wasn't Tottenham's attack. It was Arsenal's propensity to make self-inflicted errors...and low and behold they delivered. Do NOT blame the ref. It was a penalty. What kind of defending in the box was that? Idiots. And then Holding goes and gets sent off. Idiots. The squad has too much dross and too many over hyped average players. Saka, ESR and Gibraltargaard. All over rated. We need 8 proven quality signings But Arteta does NOT have the man management skills to handle established, prime players. 12 defeats in the Premier League AND conceded only 4 goals less than relegation fighting Burnley. But Arteta has apparently fixed the defence and improved the side. We are only in top 4 contention is because apart from the top 3 the rest of the league is so poor in form.

I will die on this hill: Saka, Martinelli and Smith-Rowe aren't that good and get consistently overrated by Arsenal fans. That's not to say they've got good attributes and work well together in Arteta's system... they've got good passing efficiency, mentalities, potential, work rate etc. But when have you ever seen Smith-Rowe complete a De Bruyne-esque pass? None of them have that classy passing weight or vision. They're typical, young academy type players- great touches, dribbling, on the ball stuff but no, not world class and not genuine first teamers for clubs like Liverpool or Man City.. seriously people act like we don't need wingers in the summer when we've been needing them for like 5 years now.

Agree with most points discussed but can’t throw too much shade on elneny or xhaka, seeing as holding & Cedric threw the game away for us in 30 odd mins or whatever. Always an uphill battle from there. We were never going to get a result after holding went off. Holding lost his head completely…before the second yellow he was all over son. So minus 10 for the ref because the sending off was right and the penalty was 50/50 ! On arteta he was the main problem of that game now yes holding and cedric let them down that happens but your coming up against son and u have the best player equiped to deal with him on the left side. Maybe tomyiasu may have been ripped apart also however we wont know that will we.at no point did he switch cedric and tomyoasu. Hes also put a CB on the bench so either hes not fit or if he is he should bring him on. If hes not fit he shouldnt be on the bench. He then playes xhaka at LB and u ended the game with a RB and CM at CB. Ontop of all that not sure if any arsenal fans realised this.im a neutral fan and noticed it withing 10 seconds of the 2nd half.
