Great reaction, you guys are very enjoyable to watch! I wonder if I could suggest that your editing could be less skippy. I think we could do without the fast cutting and the incomplete lines. Sometimes we can't even see your reaction to a moment, because the editing jumps to after your realizing of what's going on in a scene. Hope this is helpful.

Love your reactions. If I may, I just have one constructive criticism. I feel your clips of the movie during the reaction were so short it got a bit annoying. I understand if its because of copyrights, but if not, I feel like fewer scenes with longer clips would be better ✌

Love your guys' energy, but the editing definitely needs a lot of work... Way too much cutting off characters mid-sentence and cutting off several jokes right before their punch lines. Makes the video extremely unpleasant to watch. I mean no disrespect whatsoever, you seem like good company. Just friendly online critique, that's all. Hope y'all keep at it 💯

Maybe not quite so meta (or breaking the 4th wall)...because I think the reference is Kirk Lazarus (Australian actor) playing Lincoln Osiris (African American soldier), disguised as a (south-east Asian) peasant farmer. Honestly though, RDJ deserved an Oscar for this performance, because it is SO easy to forget he's not actually African American. And if Heath Ledger hadn't been "The Joker" in the same year this movie came out, I think he WOULD have won that Oscar (as it is, he had to wait until 2024 to win his first Academy Award).

That beginning sequence was part of the movie. They did it to introduce the characters of _Tropic Thunder_ and if you watched it in the movie theater, it wasn't initially clear the film had begun, since you saw other commercials / previews just before those. It's actually pretty clever.

Better to pick and choose which full sentence to leave in and which to cut. Editing it to have half of each sentence is just unwatchable. Starting at 22:19 is maybe the best example. Cutting it sometimes in the middle of a word, and we never get any joke payoffs. At one point it was edited to have "stupid-ass", and the last word "Jack" could have been left in and stayed fair-use but it was cut for some reason. Very awkward and too choppy.

Tom said to Ben Stiller "i need fat hands and im gonna dance" and Ben had no idea what he was talking about but he let Tom Cruise just do whatever he wanted with it and thats what we got

It's actually a spin-off of the movie "platoon" staring charlie sheen. In the beginning the part where ben stiller gets shot in the back chasing the helicopter resembles the part in platoon where Willim Defoe gets shot running away from enemies chasing a helicopter. Look it up its like exactly the same.

People who say that Blazing Saddles and Tropic Thunder and other similar approaches to these topics can't be made today don't understand the nuance of what is happening in the film. For example, yes RDJ is in blackface makeup because the character is, but that character is also the only person in the whole film who thinks it's okay. Ben Stiller's character talks about how he immerged himself into the Simple Jack character but RDJ's character calls him on going too far, misreading the truth of the character. The point is, these characters are making fun of themselves and the entertainment industry.
