Tropical Storm Alberto: Tracking impacts in Texas

Tropical Storm Alberto is the first named storm of the 2024 hurricane season after forming in the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday morning, according to the National Hurricane Center.
The NHC said Alberto made landfall around 6:48 a.m. near Tampico, Mexico on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
Potential Tropical Cyclone One formed into Alberto at 9:48 a.m. Wednesday.
Tropical Storm Alberto was heading into Mexico, but the effects of the storm were being felt all along the Texas coast.

This much flooding by the outer fringes of a minor Tropical Storm making landfall some 350+ miles south?
