Tropical Storm Debby & North Carolina Emergency Prep: Extreme flooding risk for many

After making landfall Monday in Florida, Tropical Storm Debby is moving northeast up the Georgia coastline with much of North Carolina in its path. The Triangle will see periods of heavy rain and flooding Tuesday through Friday. On Monday, Gov. Roy Cooper declared a State of Emergency ahead of the expected impact.

You guys never talk about Rocky Mount area , that big ban of bad clouds over Rocky Mount you didn’t even mention it 🤔🤔🤔

They can't talk about all specific cities and regions. They do talk about adjacent cities, and Rocky Mount is on the maps, which is better than most cities get. Rocky Mount isn't experiencing anything really special, anyway.

Probably because rocky mount isn't gonna flood it's a mountain

All the local news and agencies should be able to tell every single person in SC, based upon their sea level and proximity to rivers, which neighborhoods will experience flooding into homes based on rainfall amounts compounded with river levels to properly give people an evacuation decision. I find it sad and par for the course that any government agency gives just enough info to scare people but not enough to make proper decisions so that maximum human tragedy can occur

With all the new development you don’t know how it will affect water flow until it happens. For the most part if you lived somewhere where storms/hurricanes are common you’ll know what areas flood after one season. What’s a complete fail is all governments of any beach town should have made all infrastructure imperious to high winds and water by now
