Thanks Robert. I'm just getting the hang of this "new" weather system. I remember we used to be forewarned because we could see a storm develop from a distance of about a week. And they often hit Luzon. Then they developed just days away leaving little time for preparation. Now they are just totally befuddling.

@@WestPacWx I'm happy about that. I look at null earth, MTSAT and JMA and there is a noticeable shift of LPAs coming from the south and into Mindanao. The typhoons that often hit Luzon are calamitous. That rarely happens in Mindanao.

I'm still trying to figure out where this alleged 'cold front' is!? It was 32C in San Fernando, Pampanga yesterday! 🥵 Then it rained pretty hard this evening 🌦! Great! Manila will get rain Thursday, according to your tags? I'm supposed to pick up my new motorcycle Thursday, and ride home to San Fernando! 😲 I guess I'd better pick up a rain suit, too? 🤔🌦 Could you please explain the 'cold front', here in Pampanga, Robert?

Is why we call it a shearline there, not a cold front. In fact you see I mention a few times a cold surge or a shearline. Because by the time it reaches the tropics that cold air interaction is more or less gone but you still have the instability. For San Fernando really rare to get a true "cold front" there.

What is the place called "Agno" on your map supposed to be? There is an Agno river and a (pretty small) Municipality of Agno, both somewhere else.There is a Municipality of Agoo near the place on the map, but a bit farther north. Why, for that region, not having something like Dagupan? The forecast for (central) Pangasinan (we're in Lingayen) is usually very inaccurate. We, typical for the dry season, barely had any rain since "Pepito" (one heavy shower in December and some raindrops on a few days ever since, not really worth mentioning). Your videos are very good for explaining things like cold surge, sheerline etc. But your sources for the regional forecasts don't seem very good. All the weather apps are pretty useless for our region, and there is no doppler radar (even though all the apps pretend there is). Not criticizing you, you can only work with what you have, and you're doing a great job!
