Interesting! Here in Canada Starlings are invasive species. I can trap and keep as many as I want. And boy there are many! Their young can basically learn any type of song, so I want them to learn Common Nightingale song. 😍 I will have to make separate aviary for them though based on your comment how they treat finches

Torben, what do you do with all the babies? Keep some for future breeding? And genetic diversity. I have a GREAT IDEA!! You can send them to me in USA. I will start "Tropical Avairy #2"!! In USA For you!! I had Red crested cardinals everywhere when I lived in Hawaii. They were as common as a sparrow on Oahu. In parks, backyards, everywhere!! Almost the same for many robins, and foreign finches!! They were everywhere. Lol. I miss hearing them alot!! We need to come up with a plan. So I can come to Denmark and get babies from you and friends and bring back to USA with use of my friends in CA. Who own a large commercial import bird avairy. We used to see these species here years ago. In large numbers. But for past 20years or so? They have only been available by domestically raised backyard hobbies, but at virtually untouchable prices. So so many people cannot enjoy or even try breeding them here anymore, because the importers just can't find enough of a species to be able to bring them in at affordable prices. However if we waited for 6 months to collect ad many as we could in Denmark, UK, other European nations we might be able to pull off a shipment I to USA. Than we could have Torbens Tropical avairy#2 USA. LOL HMMMM food for thought!!! I would love to see your avairy and birds in person someday!! Until than I will live thru you and your wonderful informative videos!!

Hi Troy Thank you very much 😉 And an interesting thought to be avle to help grew the hobby in us. Though, I dont know anything on the import requierements - or if the expected proces in US match an import from EU. We dont have low proces here either 😉 Nevertheless, you would always be welcome to come by if you should come to DK. 😊👍

I live in England and have pair of purple glossy starlings they are in my house in a 4ft long 3ft wide 6ft tall are they easy to breed

Sometimes, but not hard. Nevertheless, one of the reasons I dont have them with smaller birds! They can be nasty - and would eat eggs and chicks from smaller birds as finches etc. In this collection they are great and interesting birds.
