I've been battling an algea bloom for a while with no luck yet. This was very helpful to me and I really appreciate you making it easy to understand. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing your next one.

This is the BEST video on algae removal I have seen! It was simple, educational, and provided so many additional tips. You have given me my sanity back! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

I just read to turn your tank off for days. I've been beating my heat against the wall doing water changes I've even ordered Purigen and bags. Been reading everything out there. Well now I've turned my tank off, and I will wait.

Yeah, it’s usually light or nutrients. I do a big water change once and don’t turn on my light for a week or so. I don’t black out the tank or anything. I still watch the fish without the light on so it’s still fun.

I have tried all that water change, nothing worked. I had to buy a $70 algae killer... water goes in it, the light inside kills the algae, comes out clean... never had that issues again

The plant uses nitrates, not ammonia.

I thought emptying all the water out of the tank causes the loss of the benifical bacteria which is not good for the fish
@TropicalFishGuy Жыл бұрын
There is some bacteria in the water but most is clinging on surfaces such as gravel, sides, decoration, etc… it is negligible in water.

This is the best water for fishes , and for their fry ! Remove it ? We should keep it . Yes it is not that awesome for our eyes , but it is awesome for fishes .

The best way is knowing the way to get what you want , and if you feel like your aquariums will be better for being green then I think you should just leave the light on & enjoy ❇️💚✳️
