Glad it was helpful, Edward. That's a really old video - I hope you enjoy the more up to date ones better!

5c is about the right temperature Geoff but keep it at this temp day and night throughout the next three months and you will get some very nice blooms. Ed

Eds Orchids thanks Ed that's useful to know. It might have to go in the conservatory because my greenhouse is probably too warm for it.

I am going to move mine to a cooler spot too. 😃

Very nice. Mine hasn't bloomed yet either but it is doing nicely, I am growing it in rocks. Look forward to seeing your blooms. 💚 Susan.

Thanks ThreeRivers. I'm hoping the new growths aren't just new leaves!🤣

They grow like mad weeds here, they grow outdoors all year.

I always wonder if somewhere in the world someone is desperately trying to provide the right conditions for a Dandelion to thrive!🤣(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taraxacum)

My dad in Australia has them growing in regular compost (not recommended)outdoors under trees. They survive. Mine grow good in LECA, bark, pebbles etc. In summer here it's regularly 30℃. They slow right down in cooler 15℃ weather. Can tolerate straight sun but put a bit of shadecloth over for the midday sun, which is too hot.

@@kathymacomber4502 has to be too cold and or not sunny enough. See top comment.

was going to say..looks like it appreciates what you are doing and some times when you are giving 'better" light the plants bulbs are often shorts and plumper and thus more healthy. congratulations

Thanks Terry. The grow light has certainly been a game changer.

They do need water when it’s winter, even in Australia it rains during the winter. The rains are just more sporadic. Giving them full sun, protecting them from blazing afternoon sun, is a sure way to get them to bloom.

Thanks for the tips Ken. This is an old video (in KZbin terms!) and to be honest, I'm now not even sure that's a kingianum. In my environment I don't water it much at all between November and March as it's so cold and humid here, but just give it the very occasional 'squirt'. The chances of it getting any sun at all here through those months are practically zero, unfortunately.👍

Stick it in bright morning sun in autumn and ignore it!
