Thanks for the video. I just bought the TTK 66 E and had no idea on how to making it function. Clear explanation.

Hi the manual can be downloaded from the Trotec website.
@alphab3ta4 ай бұрын
use the ON/OFF Button for the start I had to find out that only the last mode (which is untitled above the LED) lets you select a humidity level. All other 3 modes are automatic.

Are you satisfied with it? I'm thinking to take TTK 66 E... Or 72 E
@alphab3ta3 ай бұрын
@@olgadarkviolet6483 It works very good. I dry my laundry with it. Full machine (8 kg laundry), 2 standers with shirts and underwear. Trotec TTK 66 in dryer mode in the middle of the room and one fan extra to mix the air. After 6 hours the laundry (tumbled at 1400 rpm before) was very dry. After 7 hours the Trotec stopped because the water tank was full. It takes 3,2 litres. That might be bigger, but then the machine would be bigger too.

Great vid! Just an FYI, the ProBreeze PB-18 does have a removable filter. In the UK ones at least. The manual states: • To remove the air filter, first remove the water tank from the body of the unit so you can reach the filter. Pull out the filter from the bottom rear of the unit.

Cheers for that, helped me a lot with that Trotec. Where I live, that exact one has been rebranded as Gorenje (albeit 20 litre) but otherwise identical machine and I struggled to find a review in English so this helped a lot in terms of functionality and noise volume.

Good review, I've just bought the pro breeze model. it seems ok. Only use it to dry clothes, so fingers crossed will be good. One problem we've found with compressor dehumidifiers is longevity. Our ecoair mini dessicant, has outlasted a delonghi, a meaco (that was £250 plus😢) and an ecoair compressor dehumidifier over a decade old!

Thx for the measurements and comparison. Edit: ordered two of the Pro Breeze 12liter models. After plenty reading and comparing they seem to be the best choice for me noise-wise and efficiency-wise. In general the smaller units (meaning 12liter instead of 20, 30 or 50 liter) are more quiet because they displace less air, as apparently the fanblades and the air rushing over the grills is a main source of noise. On paper they perform better then the larger models, when you calculate the Watts per liter needed to extract the liters capacity at 30C and 80%RV. Two small units are more quiet then one larger unit.

Hi I known that it depends of the humidity level but how often can I expect to fill up the 12l tank? I need to level down from 68-70% at 22°c to about 55-60% I also would take 2 pcs
@wouterke98713 ай бұрын
@@luckystrike656 From what I don't know I would say once every other day ; ) . It all depends on the volume of the space you want to control... There are some calculators on the internet for humidity, and excel alone can help you guestimate? Still use them, still happy with these units. Tried others but these are really quiet and effective. Did you know you recover some heat out of the room because there is a phase change vapor to condensate ? So effectively they cost you 0.8 x nominal power.

Is it essential to have the airfilter? Mine came without one (the Trotec equivalent). Wire mesh in the flap but no filter behind it.
@coolproductsreviews3220 Жыл бұрын
the filter isn't essential to function but over years dirt and dust will accumulates on the cooling fins and it will reduces the efficiency. You may require you to take the cover off to vacuum and clean it if this happens.
@FarukFazlinovic-g6r Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for your quick reply. I have since realised that the plastic flap and the mesh fixed to it may just be the filter they refer to in the manual. I think I expected an actual filter between the flap/mesh and the fins. Thanks for your reassuring reply!@@coolproductsreviews3220

Compressors are better for warmer spaces and will not work in cold places whereas the desiccant type is made for cold rooms likes garages, conservatories and cellars in winter. Both are good for the purpose they are made for.

Great review.. does they produce a lot of heat..like can i use them in a closed room in summer?
@alphab3ta4 ай бұрын
not a lot, but I would not use it at 30 degree celsius power consumption is max 440 watts, but it uses (for example) 215-240 watts when programmed to 45% humidity and starts at 60% at medium fan speed. I don´t know when it uses the full power, maybe at very high humidity levels. I have written down : 23.38 start, 1.18 end, room temperature was 22,4°C at start and 22,8 when I switched it off. So almost 2 hours and only 0,6° C added. And it had extracted 700 ml of water from the air in that time (room of 15 square meters was 60% humidity).

I have the probreeze model. I noticed the unit shakes or vibrates when turning on and off. I dunno if its normal but I didn't notice on the video. Is anyone experiencing same?
@coolproductsreviews3220 Жыл бұрын
hi yes this is probably due to the motor starting up and shutting down. It should be normal unless it is excessive.

Thanks for the review! Regarding the noise of the Pro Breeze, I read in some reviews in Amazon that despite having a lower noise it has a very annoying high pitch noise (similar to a continuous cricket). I think I could hear it at the end of the high mode test in your video, but I wanted to ask you if you could confirm that, and if the Trotec has this sound as well.
@coolproductsreviews3220 Жыл бұрын
If you are the type that need absolute silence to sleep neither of these will be suitable. The trotec is significantly louder under all modes. The probreeze is very quiet on the sleep setting and if it is in the far corner of your room even quieter.

I bought the TTK 66 E to dry hung up laundry in a closed 15 m² room which has normally 50-60% humidity at 22° C. 8 kg of laundry, spinned at 1400 rpm. Put 2 ventilators to support the airflow in the room. The laundry was dry after ~6 h, water tank (3.2 L) full after 7 hours. power consumption ~1,9 kWh mostly at 250-260 watts it´s not that quiet (dry mode: fan high and compressor always on). 2 closed doors between the device and you is good to hear nothing. When the water tank is filled up it beeps 8 times (not loud) and stops. You can watch the water dropping frequently if you use a flashlight and see thru the small window.

What about energy costs ? I’ve just brought a pro breeze 20 l and it says it uses 440 w :o
@coolproductsreviews3220 Жыл бұрын
Hi if you look at the probreeze and trotec websites for their basic 20L dehumidifiers they are both rated at 44 and 45 kw/h. I have a feeling that most dehumidifier of the compressor type will have similar energy consumptions. Dessicant types usually use more engergy. The MeacoDry Arete One 20L currently seems to have one of the best energy ratings.
