I recall my grandfather’s description of an alligator snapping turtle he caught on a trotline- the size of a number 3 washtub! Nice unit of measure.

@@shanesouthard1602 i do the same. I release the larger (females) they have more eggs to help replenish the fishery, and good genectics. Other thing i noticed is when the fish get too big they get chewy just like gator.

We can't use gamefish unless it's caught on a hook and legal size!!!!
