Hello developer diary enjoyers - do you like trotsky? How about monarchy? How about Quisling? Well its all here in this GIGA GAMER NORWAY focus tree. Interestingly - this is one of the very rare scenarios where I feel like the communist path has potential to be fun and have some decent range but maybe Im missing the mark. After all these are always speculations.

While I do think more people are going to enjoy the weird claims that you get with Quisling, the monarchist path and the claims you get seems fairly historical. Up until 1814 Norway had control of Greenland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands, but lost them to Denmark after the Napoleonic wars, and for a long time Norway did not recognize that loss of territory. The Greenland claims was brought up again when some Norwegians occupied parts of eastern Greenland from 1931 until 1933 when the case was settled by the international court. These claims was again brought up by Quisling, but the Germans did not want to support him in re conquering Greenland. So I can fully see an ahistorical monarchy for Norway going after the areas lost to Denmark, while Quisling was a bit crazy and wanted areas that had been lost for a long time.

I'll pass on having a civil war in Norway. Especially with those civil war mechanics. The Monarchist path looks ok. And I actually like the split choosing where the Prince goes. That's pretty cool.

I agree, that it would be nice to be able to avert a civil war if enough time and political power is invested. Though I disagree with your passive aggressive opposition to those of us who enjoy non aligned. That you do it with such a honeyed, mellifluous voice makes me feel even more guilty. :'(
