Like every athlete who comes 2nd or 4th, even 3rd, their ultimate dream is to come first, to become the Olympic champion, and being so close to the gold medal but loosing is very hard emotionally and physically for the athlete. And if you think about it every athlete has the same dream, has the same passion and desire to do whatever it takes and you’ve got to understand and acknowledge that they’ve had their dream crushed. Although of course everyone is so happy for Laura Trott, Sarah Hammer should also be congratulated for her efforts and should be consolidated for her loss because a silver medal at the Olympics is such a great achievement.
