Awesome this mate and I think the tee peg behind is a good idea I will be working on this! I very much struggle to adjust my swing on course to come up on driver. So this will be a big part of my set up moving forward I think

Love the tips and swing thoughts Trottie. Feels good to hear inspiration about the game. By the way, I haven't heard 'heebie jeebies' since high school--mid 90's . LOL. We used to use that term all the time.

3:45 I find myself walking forward after drives sometimes and have never known if this is a good sign. but it also contradicts the long drive ground forces technique where they're pushing backwards off the ground with their left foot, correct?

Great point Trotti...just keep in mind, not all players have the kind of flexibility to make large wide-turns and keep their rhythm and sequence timed correctly. In the end, it all come to proper contact and efficiency in hitting the ball with your wedges, irons and woods.

I noticed one thing as I lost my drive this season I started putting to much wait on the balls of my feet I was duck hooking and even topping the ball so focused on equal weight in my feet bang back to hitting bombs lol

@trottiegolf - Not related but can you shed any light on Taylormades stance on the LIV tour? Will the tour trucks be supporting this in the future? Seems the brands have been really quiet on this and just curious how it will play out! Huge fan of the channel by the way!
@jetdr

Just my thought, The Brands want exposure, exposure means MONEY!! Reason they give free stuff to Pro's who can easily afford anything. Hell they all have their equipment made with Child Labor in China and that doesn't seem to hurt sales...

@@trottiegolf For amateurs with their off center hits from the putter/off line stroke, usually is it better to have most weight in back of putter, sides of putter or weight in front?
@trottiegolf
@trottiegolf Жыл бұрын
@@jeffyeah4256 back is going to help with MOI, "Moment Of Inertia", this is reduction to twist on off centre strikes BUT if you're someone who needs to release the putter then you have to consider CG location and moving it forward. Have you seen the new putter from TaylorMade the GT Max? I haven't covered it on here yet but it's right in your wheel house with questions about CG location.

I feel like alignment sticks become a crutch...for not using your mind to aim your shot. For that reason, I won't use them. It's like people always thinking there is a pill to heal them....and not using their brain. The best aim...is mental aim. Yes, you have to line up properly, but that is not a substitute for always having a mental target while actually executing your shot. It's like a baseball player....thinking that an aiming stick is the solution to hitting a good ball....lol.

Probably not staying behind in the shot. You are either moving to far forward or flipping.

Probably over the top, his arm position in the downswing appears to be quite similar to that of Cam Smith, i.e. steep. But only very slightly because he's a very good golfer.

Glad you mentioned the issue of “guiding the driver” Chris…. always causes more probs than it solves imho. The importance of a repeatable pre-shot routine is so underestimated as is your point about making a full turn and hitting through as hard as you can whilst staying in balance. Rory is the best example of this and his driving stats back that up. Thanks as always for the Onion Drops 🧅🐐🏌️ H
