I love your accent, Ed! And you are very relaxed, down to earth and encouraging. I think I would enjoy learning golf with you. From an Aussie Down Under!

Thanks, It just worked for me. I also tried the driver by keeping the T bit high and it worked perfect - carry 250 + yards, straight

When i hit my 3w well (less often than I'd like) - I find that I'm hitting down on the ball while chest is right behind the ball. It's a matter of confidence and trusting the swing, for me!

Very similar for me too. Though im not actually really hitting down, it is definitely down from my hacked misses of topping it . I find i have to remind myself to level my shoulders more (almost like leaning forward with shoulders) to stop the upward …for me though its a 50/50 chance after making good contact if itll slice or not lol

Question .... my 3 & 5 woods always tail off to the right. What drills do you think will help alleviate this ?

Club face control and swing path! Have you ever seen swing data on a launch monitor like Trackman?

Saying there is no hazards is like a challenge to my swing…. When ever I think that i seem to go and prove the opposite 😂😜👍🏼✌️

The swing looked pretty effortless to get the ball up. I find i swing harder and probably with a decending blow to get the ball up. Will give the drill a try. Also taking the lie into account its crucial. To many of us just try and play the shot whenever the lie is. Pros arw amazing at it and i think we just think we can make it happen from any lie too.

Use plastic tees. They will last a long time.

If you are having trouble hitting ANY shot off the deck just T it up. No one gives a poop. I play the way I want as you are NOT playing golf anyway unless you have custom clubs playing in perfect course conditions with a pro caddy. If someone questions my play I say ‘how much $ do you want to play for’ and they say am too good no matter the rules

Sorry but… but this drill doesn’t really help me… it’s easy to hit a fairway wood even off of a short tee. Not nearly as easy off the deck.

I get what youre saying ,i was sort of thinking similarly ..i do think the point is to use this as a step in the process of getting a flatter angle of attack . To train yourself to not swing up or down but flat as possible through ball zone. So when you can hit all 3 tees it should be an easier step to then learn to lower the whole path a 1/4” or so
@edschwent16306 ай бұрын
I agree but most players need to start on a tee learning to do it there and then lowering the tees until on the ground ..it is a very basic drill but productive

The student doesn’t seem to be improving and is befuddled by literally every aspect of a golf swing. Most of the lessons apply to every club but he is constantly amazed that they do.

Worst video I've seen. Spent first 6 minutes just talking about BS then only the drill. Didn't explain or show what you are trying to do with body like swing in to out or vice versa, tilt, leg action,turn etc
@topgunbass6 ай бұрын
The drill it to teach you to swing on a shallow plane to sweep the ball. I don't think the videonwas all in compasing to teach you the whole swing.

@@topgunbasstheyve done swing videos in the past….like u said its a drill video to learn to flatten strike path
@edschwent16306 ай бұрын
I’m sorry you think so.. I think most players overthink the golf swing. My point of the video was to assess your lie. And to practice angle of attack. I’ve found this simple drill helps most players. If it doesn’t help you good luck.
@richardc69323 ай бұрын
@@edschwent1630overthinking is caused by watching way too many instructors promoting POSITIONAL golf. Clear the mind and trust your swing.Tension in the arms and hands is a distance killer. Let the ball get in the way as you complete the full swing. 🇨🇦👍👨🦳
