Maybe this is my experience in the UK, but not many fitters put this much energy and enthusiasm in their fitting process. Often its a tick box for the numbers and the closest wins, but there's so much to be said about the confidence you get, the alignment help, the insight into your swing path that just don't get communicated well enough. They want you out the door with your pockets empty asap. I wish everyone put this much love into their fitting process as you do Trottie

@roberttaylor18019 ай бұрын
A 4 whs handicap rating is a base handicap. It is all about the slope rating and for the better players the sss comes into play. The course where i am a member has a yellow slope of 135 off the back tees its 137. Off the whites a whs 4 handicap gets probably 3/4 extra shots so no longer a 4 now an 7/8. Friend of mine has a whs of 2.3, his course is 139 but with an sss of 70. A pro would hope to score 2 under. Suppose its relative, now a whs of 4 is not the old 4 handicap

Bad mechanics are exposed under pressure. His swing looks better here, but it looks like he is hitting more down on it and not trying to scoop it up like he does in other videos. Good video, but it's such an anachronism for fitters to speak as if a golf ball (or any sphere) was able to spin in two directions at the same time. There is no "backspin and sidespin" as separate values. And it's not even useful to think that way. There's a spin number, and a spin axis. If a player is already spinning the ball enough to keep it on a stable trajectory, and their spin axis is causing deviation to right or left, adding spin will increase those forces and increase L/R dispersion. You can't somehow magically add ONLY backspin and make it go straighter. On the other hand if the golfer's spin axis is within proper L/R variance (more vertically oriented) the yes adding more total spin will tighten up trajectory and reduce variance in dispersion.
